Joyce Meyer is a New York Times bestselling author and one of the world's leading Bible teachers. Through Joyce Meyer Ministries, she teaches practically and candidly, openly sharing her experiences and helping millions of people to apply biblical principles to their situations and ultimately find hope and restoration through Jesus Christ. Her book Battlefield of the Mind has been a perennial bestseller, teaching people how to win the war in their minds and “think about what they think about.”

Joyce’s Enjoying Everyday Life program is broadcast to millions worldwide in 114 languages. She has also authored over 150 books, which have been translated into over 170 combined languages, including Battlefield of the Mind, which has sold over 7 million copies across the globe. We’ve also distributed over 43.5 million books around the world.

A survivor of childhood sexual abuse, Joyce discovered how to overcome the emotional pain of her troubled past and experience true joy, hope, and healing by applying God’s Word to her life. Her passion is to help others do the same. For more than 40 years, Joyce has held conferences across the United States and around the world, teaching God’s Word and sharing the message of Christ with millions. Joyce also encourages millions each day through social media and online efforts and resources at joycemeyer.org

Joyce’s passion to help people who are hurting is the foundation of Hand of Hope, the missions arm of Joyce Meyer Ministries. Each year, Hand of Hope provides millions of meals for the hungry and malnourished, installs freshwater wells in poor and remote areas, provides critical relief after natural disasters, and offers free medical and dental care to thousands through their hospitals and clinics worldwide. Through their Project GRL initiative, they rescue women and children from human trafficking, provide safe places where they can receive an education and nutritious meals, and seek to let all girls everywhere know they are loved and valued by God.

In 2023, Joyce founded Hope Mountain Ranch, an 800-acre refuge in Mount Pleasant, Utah. Inspired by her own personal journey, Hope Mountain Ranch is a place where people can experience the transformative power of God and find hope and healing. It also serves as the hub for Joyce Meyer Ministries’ outreaches across the United States.

For the most part, I feel I got some good insight in this. From forgiving yourself and not letting in ruin the rest of your day (or longer), to just taking time to enjoy small things. Joyce works to give examples of how to make all aspects of our life a bit more joyful (even work and cleaning). Some parts are vague though. More of a "Just be happy" that gets a bit dull. I wish less time was spent re-hashing the same points and gave more ideas of how to enjoy things or to at least not be less of s "survive life mode." Still, a worthwhile read.

Im going to try not to be so critical like I usually am of Joyce Meyer books. There were some chapters I felt were really good and some chapters I could not relate to. Some chapters were like beating a dead horse. She made her point but just kept writing. I hated her examples of problems. I understand she was just using examples to help in her delivery but the problems she used in her book were so minor, it made me want to throw the book sometimes.
I read her positive thoughts books a few months ago and checked it out again because I had forgot that I even read the whole book and made a review of it. This was another one of those books. I read it to finish it. There were times when what she was saying applied to me and I learned a new perspective. But ultimately I don't think any of this book will stick with me. Maybe I will read it again in the future. I think it might be a good read for someone who is bored with life but it is not helpful for someone like myself who is going through a problem (like medical) they have no control over. She did not even address sickness.

Some good points. Overall it takes her too long to get to a point and she digresses often. It is not a fluid read. Kinda choppy.

Just did a weekend triptych of self reflective titles, including this one plus The Four Agreements and Wherever You Go There You Are. Conclusion: all say the same thing, this one with biblical references which do not necessarily strengthen the 'live a better life through selflessness' strategies, yet gives a good direction for further reading and context from a surprising source. Or not.

This is a self help book with Bible verses added to make it Christian. Many of the Bible verses did not relate to the topic she was addressing.

As a self help book, she is not wrong in her recommendations, but the book is not outstanding in any way. There was too much navel gazing and tedious to read. The issues addressed are minor and nothing is said about real trials such as illness, death of loved ones, etc.

As a Christian book, it fares poorly. When I checked on the context of the verses that were quoted, I found little connection to the topic at hand. She used the amplified Bible for most quotations and this had quite a bit that cannot be found in the original Greek text.

If you've ever felt lost, moody and un-understood by people around you; this book could be used of God to really calm your nerves that you haven't 'lost it', but that your current attitude in this state should be that of joy...... read through and you'd find it sticky!

Very good. If you're waiting on God for something, I highly recommend this book. It's not about the destination - once you reach it, there will be another one on the horizon. Enjoy the journey!
