The latest book in the Chloe and Levesque series, with the dramatic new series look. Chloe has a kind of grudging respect for David Mitchell, even though he appears to have a spring-loaded temper, so when he's charged with the murder of Trevor Blake, she can't decide whether he's guilty or not. Mitchell is definitely the likeliest suspect - he fought with Blake on the main street of East Hastings just before the murder - but then some of the clues at the scene of the crime just don't add up. Not a Trace will include a sneak peak at the new Robyn Hunter series, coming from Norah McClintock in 2006!
Norah McClintock’s fascinating mysteries are hard to put down. Her Chloe & Levesque series, Mike & Riel series, and Robyn Hunter series, all published by Scholastic Canada, have been popular with readers in many countries. Norah has also written several crime novels for reluctant readers in the Orca Soundings series from Orca Book Publishers,

I read five of the books of the Chloe and Levesque series (I couldn't find "Third Degree" and "Scared to Death") and I liked all of them. Chloe is a smart girl and she is very good at finding the truth about crimes. I loved the character of Levesque: he's a good cop, the chief of police in the town where they live, but he is also a loving husband for Chloe's mum and an awesome step-father for Chloe and Phoebe. I hope there will be other books in the series, I want to read more about all the characters in the series. :)
I HATE this book so much I absolutely despise it from the bottom of my heart. It is such a disgrace to the book-lovers community. NEVER ever waste your time reading this book. it's so confusing and boring and I fell asleep trying to read it. U will waste precious time in your life if you read this and you can never get that time back. So DONT read this HORRIBLE, DISGRACEFUL, OFFLE book. It's also from the 1800s. This book wasted so many trees deforestation is a real problem in this world and this book is promoting it. ANYWAYS THE POINT IS NEVET EVER READ THIS IT SUCKS.
I absolutely despise this book. It is such an off-track and chaotic book. Frankly, I got bored after the first 3 chapters. I unfortunately had to read this book for a Nook review, and it was the most awful thing. I would not recommend this book to my worst enemy. Please save your money on this book. Imagine how many trees this horrible book killed. This book doesn't even deserve one star. Do not recommend saving your money!!
I actually enjoyed this very much, like with every other book I've read by Norah McClintock.
So maybe I should stick with her books, if I'm to read crime/mystery? Because I rarely enjoy books like these.
So what if this was a little predictable, crime/mystery usually is, or it is supposed to be confusing. This was confusing only because I couldn't remember the names, and because characters were sometimes called by their first names and sometimes by their last names (which I am not so used to), and I'm just bad at remembering.
I love Levesque, really love his character! I do like Chloe too.
The characters in this MG/YA book somehow feel more mature than most of the characters I read about in YA/NA/sometimes adult.
Levesque doesn't jump to conclusions, and I like that. He does his job, which is what I expect to see when I read crime (but that rarely happens in the books I read).
Jessie's character is also as annoying and sweet as a real child.
I really thought that this book would be an amazing mystery book but to be honest after listening and reading about incidents that happened in like every other chapter the book started to get really boring until towards the end when they mentioned who killed Trevor Blake and also something I forgot to mention was about the part where Chloe got tied up by Fletcher Blake.
this is really good. a sixteen year old solving the murder of her boss ex husband whose daughter she's babysitting for the summer. Levesque is a cop who's dedicated to his work. when the new golf course is being taken over by chole's boss ex but David Mitchell - a aboriginal journalist that also wants the golf course and rights to its land. other joined and protest while other folks blame Mitchell for the murder of the ex. lots of drama await and mystery to solve. you'll never guess that the person who murder the rich and successful man was his own brother.
