Generally a good overview of the Methodist (and distinctly Methodist, with less focus on the broader Wesleyan tradition e.g. Nazarenes/Holiness and derivatives like Pentecostalism) tradition.
It's a little faster and shorter, intended as a survey rather than a very detailed elaboration, so it's not like a systematic theology or anything like that but it doesn't claim to be and does its job very well.
It's always interesting to read about a different theological tradition, especially when it is presented by an adherent of that tradition. Such is the case with this book. I find that I'm not much of a Methodist. But it's good to know what my Christian brothers and sisters believe and try to practice.
