This is a level 4 reader, but it is very in-depth of Star Wars. It has a lot of information on characters, plots, weapons, and settings throughout the universe. It has many pictures from the movies to help illustrate what the book is about. This does not tell a story but summarizes what Star Wars, especially the villain side, is all about.
I read this, so I would stop asking silly questions while watching Star Wars movies with my young grandsons. I couldn't understand who was who, and how they related to other characters, and I thought this would help. It didn't help much, but I developed a "thing" for Darth Maul.
