This is a great presentation of the trees native to Maine and gives basic detail with text and photos of each species. I would love to have twice as much info on each species, but it's a great read for anyone interested in the variety found in the Maine forest. There's so much info packed into this little guide. The species selection charts in the front are a little confusing to someone who's not a college forestry major, but I'll keep studdying it. Anyway, 4 stars for this guide.

Great book. Easy-to-use identification tables. Small enough to always have nearby.
