This juvenile non fiction books delivers a surprisingly in depth overview of Isabella, and Ferdinand, their religious zeal that spurred the Spanish Inquisition, their support of Columbus, the ousting of both Jews and Muslims from Spain. Her early life and how she came to crown was intriguing, showing Isabella to be a smart and wily woman. Highly recommended for a brief but in depth view of this woman and Spain under her rule.
