Kaila, like all the mud-people, is caked with mud, but Juta shows her how to cleanse herself of the mud and be happy, in an imaginative story that uses mud as a symbol for emotional baggage and abuse.
Thank you, Kim, for sending this book to me. It is a parable, a metaphor for abuse. This short, pithy novel (can be read in one short sitting)shows how an abused child (or any person for that matter) can save herself. The book is very simplistic and the repetition and simplicity felt a bit overdone at times, but the story is one that will help some who are abused to find solace, help, and strength to end the abuse.
This book was an incredible ficticous story that illustrates the process of living consciously. It gives fresh insight and enlightenment into our wonderful journey called life.
