Sometimes simple is best. This 40 (+) page book has verse intended for friends and nature-lovers. The pages are covered in muted browns, golds, greens, oranges and blues. It goes to say that the colors match the year it was published: 1971. It is a Hallmark.

I absolutely loved the prints that were designed and illustrated by Pamela Brunke. Unfortunately, I tried to research this artist but found very little information. You can tell the concern this artist put into her effort.

"The pages are made from White Imitation Parchment and Ivory Fiesta Parchment. The cover is bound with imported natural Seta silk book cloth and torino paper." You will find mushrooms, birds, trees, other animals, and the sea with a sentence or two on every other page. If you are looking for something special to give to a close friend to explain how you feel, look for this out-of-print book.

I gave this to my sister for Christmas when I was 17. 37 years later she found a copy in a bookstore and re-read it. It's a moving, beautifully illustrated poem that makes a wonderful, lasting gift
