[Siren Ménage Everlasting: Erotic Futuristic Sci-Fi Ménage a Trois Romance, M/M/F, with M/M elements]
Lyrianna Seebré steals black market vaccinations from a drug kingpin to aid dying children. Captured in a raid, she’s wrongfully convicted and sentenced to forty years of hard labor. Upon arrival at the penal colony, she’s selected to be auctioned off to the male settlers of the newly colonized ocean planet, Pagonna. What is she willing to sacrifice for her freedom?
Settlers Carter Verdel and Brandon Hunt have created successful water-pod and island farms on Pagonna. The only thing missing from their lives is a woman. Able to afford only one concubine even when they pool their funds, they attend the annual auction, hoping to find someone to share their beds—and perhaps even their lives.
The men purchase Lyrianna, but can they overcome her resentment and win her love? And when the kingpin comes to Pagonna, seeking revenge against Lyrianna, can Carter and Brandon protect her?
Elizabeth Raines makes her home in the Midwest. A fan of all genres of fiction, she enjoys blending her love of science fiction with romance in the books she writes exclusively for Siren Publishing. Her favorite movies are Pride and Prejudice and Love, Actually, and she spends far too much time watching shows like The Tudors and Mad Men. Elizabeth has been happily married for almost thirty years and tries to express that kind of enduring love in all her stories, hoping to help all her heroes and heroines have their own happily ever afters.
Severely disappointed in this one. The story idea seemed wonderful but the execution was ludicrous. Here she was all 'you'll never own me, I'll never be a whore!' Then the minute she gets to the island she decides that they should all have sex and suddenly they're "her guys." Lame, lame, lame. Come on why didn't you just make her a sex junkie to begin with instead of pretending she was going to have to be won over? I would have liked to see a sincere effort to show her adapting to the island and to the guys. There was absolutely no relationship development at all. World building also nil. Just making up another world doesn't really sci fi make. Sex scenes were ordinary and almost embarrassing considering there was no build up in any relationship or any tension or even a bit of anticipation so who cared if these 3 strangers got it on?
Lots of good reviews for this one. All I can guess is if tab A goes into slot B enough times then most every one is satisfied.
Yet another wonderful sci-fi romance novella from Elizabeth Raines.
Not only does the author create vivid other-planets, like the lush water world of Pagonna, her characters are dynamic and their actions are driven by clear motivations. One of the most striking aspects of this author's menage stories is that the characters develop a clear bond with each other and genuine rationale for their desire for a polygamous union.
4.5 out of 5. An erotic, futuristic short novel dealing with the continuing problem of greed in a greatly expanded universe. Space travel in the future has not managed to put a stop to the basic human problem of "coveting your neighbor's 'everything'" and individuals like our heroine rise up in an effort to become the future's Robin Hood. Robbing from black marketeers doesn't seem like much of a crime to her--she is trying to connect the people who need the immunization products and the shipments that have been stolen and which will be sold by unscrupulous marketeers at greatly enhanced prices. For all her trouble she is arrested, given the maximum sentence which will probably insure that she is very old and very gray--that is, if she even survives. Her looks insure that she is taken to the slave/concubine auction instead where she is "bought" by two farmers who have made a wonderful life for themselves, with the exception of female companionship. The story is a futuristic version of a menage romance that brings really good men together with a woman who has fallen on hard times, who is a very good person, yet must endure treatment that makes her feel like a possession. The crisis comes when her past catches up with her, and her "owners" must find a way not only to rescue her but to convince her that she is more than just a possession--that their love for her makes her the most important treasure in their lives. A very, very good read--well-written, good story line, clearly defined characters, and plenty of hot loving. It is the fourth book in a series but can be read as a stand-alone book. A really terrific read.
Loved this idea and I had to get my hands on this book. The beginning was a little choppy but a great introduction to the character Lyrianna and how ‘no good deed goes unpunished’. She is sent to prison, but instead ends up at an auction. This is where we Meet our handsome men Carter and Brandon. Now, the planet they’re on has very few women so these smoking guys are content with each other until now. Bi-sexual men -Yum. One look at Lyrianna and our guy’s buy her. Will she fall in love with them? Will she escape? Will her past catch up with her?
The dialogue was great, descriptions wonderful and this world Ms Raines created is spectacular. 3 days sun and 3 days night with more ocean than land. Fantastic idea and so well written I was immersed into the story. The characters were so well defined and the sex scorching. I swear my computer overheated a few times.
This is one of those books that sticks in your mind. I’ve found myself day dreaming about this fantasy world. Will I reread this? Hell yes. Would I recommend it? Without a doubt!
If you like hot books with a strong romantic element and fantastic world building, read this!
