Book 5! Here we come!

Come What May by Lauren Brooke continues to follow Amy and Lou as they live on their Grandpa's farm. This time around, a mare who is pregnant (named Melody) comes to Heartland. Amy desperately wants the mare and baby to be okay, all the while dealing with lots of drama. Ben is going to go to a big horse competition but doesn't want to talk to his Mom whenever she calls. In his mind, she is obviously not going to come and just avoid him. Soraya is also trying to get Ben's attention while being there for Amy. To top it off, Lou has sent a letter to Tim (her and Amy's Dad), which causes strife between the sisters.

With so much drama, we all know that this team is going to come together and give us all the happy feels by the end. And very much so, this book was a breathe of fresh air and happiness in my day. This is always a sweet read for me that is relaxing, calming, and just all around so lovely.

Five out of five stars.

Definitely intended for younger audiences and the story read more like a novella or an episode of a tv series. The characters are likable, I adore the setting and the dynamics between the characters was well written. I can easily see myself getting lost in these books as a teenager. The story was fast paced.

Another great storyline in this book series!

So much drama and excitement going on in this one! Between Lou reaching out to their dad, Ben's drama with his mom, and the pregnant mare, there was a lot to keep you excitingly turning the pages.

I loved the excitement of Ben's jumping show towards the end of the book, followed by the birth of Melody's foal. It was fast paced and entertaining. I loved seeing how much Ben and Red have come along to work together. In the book before this we saw Ben really pushing Red hard and not using the best training techniques. It was nice to see him have a more laid back approach and the relationship between him and his horse grow stronger.

The family dynamics in this book are so sweet and authentic. They love and support each other, but that doesn't come without any drama. It was very "real" to see Jack and Lou in an argument, and I loved the way the author portrayed it. I loved that Lou felt her anger and frustration but then came around at the end and let go of it and forgave her grandpa.

This is such a cozy feel good series and each book has a unique storyline, I am really enjoying them!
I love these characters and the setting of Heartland, I can't wait to read more!

The series is written for a younger audience but I really like to read them as an adult because I am a huge fan of the tv show.

In this book a pregnant mare arrives at Heartland and gets injured by jumping a fence because she escaped when she got from the trailer.
Amy and Ty care for the mare to get well soon and Ben, the other groom at Heartland, struggles with the relationship to his mother. Parallel Lou is searching for her and Amys Dad. But Amy and Jack aren't very happy about that. That leads to some conflicts between them all.

I really enyoed reading and I am right now reaching out to read the next book in the series :)

This book has Amy and Ty caring for a pregnant mare who injured herself. Complications arise with her unborn foal, and the duo attempts to keep both the mare and foal healthy. Amy's sister is trying to contact their estranged father, which Amy is less than thrilled about.

It's interesting to see so many reviews that are new fans of the series because they have made it a television series. I read this series in middle school, but I loved it then.

okay so its still a pretty good series despite the missing pieces and the story really starts to pick up as its begins to parallel the tv adaption but of course, there’s some differences especially with more (or less) drama but its still a good series. i’d still wish it was a lot less “tell” and more “show” but i guess the plot and knowing the tv show by heart makes up for it to fill in the gaps

Another five star rating for this series. With each book there’s a theme and sometimes a lesson to be told. This one was about forgiveness. Lou forgiving her grandpa for not telling them their father was back and Ben forgiving his mom.

Żałuję trochę, że zaczęłam od środka serii, ale nawet bez większego zastanawia się była to przyjemna książka.
Taka raczej wolno płynąca, typowo obyczajowe klimaty.

Unlike most people, who read the books then watch the show, I watched the show and then am now reading the books. I LOVE HEARTLAND!!!!!!! So amazing! Definitely a great read! (In my option the show is better and has more depth, but the books are good too!)

I really like this one. I like the main plot of the horse that needs their help. I really enjoy the dynamic between Ben, Amy, and Ty as Ben really starts to become part of the team. I also think the main conflict in this one is more realistic and genuine feeling.

My light reading series. I love how the author describes the scenery throughout the book. I enjoy reading about the different care of horses and how in tune they become with the humans. I just love a no thinker easy read.

This is one of my favourites in the earlier books. It talks about several important themes and within the family- then a foal is born at the end. Yay! :D

Book 5 is still as enjoyable as the first 4. Again, I’m a huge fan of the CBC TV show so I love being able to read the stories, too!
