Advice from an SAT instructor: vocabulary is even less important on the SAT than it was before its most recent change, so focus on your test-taking technique rather than on books like these. Expanding your vocabulary as life-long pursuit of word-learning is never a bad idea, but wasting lots of time poring over Hot Words has very little in the way of payoff.
