Selena Kitt is a NEW YORK TIMES bestselling and award-winning author of erotic and romance fiction. She is one of the highest selling erotic writers in the business with over two million books sold!
Her writing embodies everything from the spicy to the scandalous, but watch out-this kitty also has sharp claws and her stories often include intriguing edges and twists that take readers to new, thought-provoking depths.
Her books EcoErotica (2009), The Real Mother Goose (2010) and Heidi and the Kaiser (2011) were all Epic Award Finalists. Her only gay male romance, Second Chance, won the Epic Award in Erotica in 2011. Her story, Connections, was one of the runners-up for the 2006 Rauxa Prize, given annually to an erotic short story of “exceptional literary quality.”
This was super quick... only about half an hour to finish. It was also a lot more like the Selena Kitt books I have read before... lots of sex scenes and the storyline was good too (even though it was short). I liked the premise about her being a super talented lock hacker and him a code hacker. They were both decent characters for such a short read and the sex was definitely Kitt standard. 3 likeable stars.
The plot was good even though there are lots of sex scenes in the story. I am actually surprised the story pulled through with all the sec scenes.
The story ended with an HEA but I can say this story differed from all the modern retellings I’ve read with goldilocks and the three bears.
This was a unique retelling of the classic story with Goldilock as a thief but more of a Robin Hood kind of girl. The three Behr brothers were rich and is running a famous company. Goldielocks and Campbell hatched a plan to stole the Behr’s most precious jewelry that Behr’s ancestors have stolen from the Jewish and decided to give it back to its rightful owner.
A short quick read. Recommend it to people who wants to read something short and with a hot story(warning not the love romance way but literally)
Once the children are tucked away in bed for the night, Mommy now has her own fairy tale to go to bed with! Selena Kitt has revised the classic tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears by altering the story into current time with real life situations but maintaining key points of the original fairy tale within the story.
Goldie is a third generation locksmith who is the best at combination safe cracking while stealthily testing large corporations' security systems. The three Behr brothers own one of the largest businesses around with top security measures to protect their priceless jewels. So what harm could come from pitting their head of security against Goldie's talented skills? But Richard Campbell risks losing everything through this challenging proposition - his employment, his home and his heart.
This had absolutely exciting action sequences that lead very smoothly into the love making scenes. The heat between the main characters is so intense that it might give heart palpitations to even the healthiest of readers! The only thing that could have made the book better is if the storyline did not feel like the ending was rushed in order to fit into the last several pages, but instead had been expanded on by just adding a few more pages to the novella.
Through the classic tale has been altered, I was very impressed by how Ms. Kitt used the star constellation “Ursa” as an undetected yet subtly reference to "The Three Bears" along with her play on words to fit in the story line. The moral of the story stays the same, however: a person will go through a lot of hassle to get to the right fit eventually! But being an adult tale, instead of finding comfort in a bed that 'feels just right', Goldie finds a man who fits not just her personal needs but her every need in and out of the bedroom!
I know that I will be keeping my eyes open for more of these fairy tale stories after enjoying this classic yet delightfully naughty book by Selena Kitt!
Well of the ones out so far, this was my least favorite, but it was still good. Sex reminiscent of Doc & Mrs. B, so that was really hot. Five orgasms in twenty minutes? Wow. Impressive, lol. Very interesting premise. Safe-cracker/locksmith with Jewish roots is somehow recruited to steal back diamonds that belonged to a Jewish family prior to the Holocaust. A German SS officer ended up killing the man who tried to shield them from the Nazis, and they were handed down through the generations of the Behr family. Behr, get it? And there were three brothers -- small, medium, and large -- in today's generation. Goldilocks? Well, her name was Golda, nicknamed Goldie. I thought the names were clever and the situation was quite unique. And the "just right"? Not what I expected, but definitely apropos. What I didn't like is that I couldn't quite tell where the story was going. I mean I was confused much of the time. I'm still a little confused on how the man on the inside was related to the whole thing. Maybe I need a reread. But there was lots of squishy sex and an HEA. So I liked it, I just didn't REALLY like it. Still glad I read it, though, and I can't wait for the next one!
About a week ago (Oct 9th 2015) I found “Modern Wicked Fairy Tales: Complete Collection “ from Selena Kitt as a Freebie on Amazon. I have 2 children and I still like to read or watch fairy tales with my children. I was curious about this bundle with a naughty version of them.
2 – Goldilocks
Goldie Lax takes jobs for the family locksmith business to test security systems. She often works together with Richard on those jobs. They have a secret relationship of 5 years. Richard is the security guy for the Behr brothers. Their last job involves retrieving something from those Behr brothers…
This was a very short story and I think I wasn’t even 10 minutes in when there was the first sex scene. One with 5 orgasms in 20 minutes! The rest of this short book is mostly sex and I really need a story to get into so this one didn’t do it for me…
While I certainly wouldn't compare her to great literature, when it comes to e-published erotica, Selena Kitt is about as good as it gets. The sex scenes are hot, and she deftly avoids the purple prose traps. (If you're looking for "throbbing members" and "heaving bosoms," look elsewhere.)
The plot is sufficiently ridiculous (and really, in a good porno, it kind of has to be) but always thoroughly enjoyable. The sex scenes fit seamlessly into the storyline. I always hate it when it feels like those scenes were written first and then the author just threw a half-***ed story around them. I have never found that to be the case with Selena Kitt.
I think her fairy tales are among her best work. They are available individually (as this one) or as part of a collection.
It is about a woman named Goldie who breaks into safes for a living in order to tell companies where they are weak. She is partners with a hot hacker named Campbell and they have been in love for like 5 years.
Campbell is the head of security for the Behr brothers. The Behr brothers wrongly have in their possession three rare diamonds. The brothers threaten Campbell's job with a wager: if Goldie (the brothers have no idea that Goldie and Campbell are in love or that they even know each other) can break into their home than he is fired and if she can't then Campbell's job is safe.
At first I thought Campbell had commitment issues but you learn why he is so hesitant to put a lock on their relationship.
Heavy on the smut. Not that that's a bad thing. But there was no connection between the h/H. Well, except the sex.
Golda Lax is a safe cracker. A damn good one. She teams up with a guy named Campbell. He specializes in information technology. Together they plan a heist on the three Behr brothers. Their goal is a family heirloom that was lost during the Holocaust.
So, I should have read this in one sitting. In my opinion, that is how it is intended to be read. That being said, it's a good story. The sex was better written than in Beauty, and you could really tell how much the two main characters cared for each other. The only thing was the antagonists. I just wasn't convinced to hate them in the way the main characters did. They just seemed stupid...not the owners of multi-million dollar companies. It was no wonder this had a fairy tale ending.
4/5 Gold Crowns. I imagine any reader who enjoys passionately written stories laced with mystery, intrigue and a sexily presented moral to the story will enjoy this book. To view this review in its entirety, please visit http://thereadersroundtable.com/eroti...
Another fairy tale story, this one was a bit more abstract from the original story. I honestly had a hard time relating it back to Goldilocks at all except for the part in the epilogue which seemed to be slipped in there just to remind you this was a retelling. Strange.
Inspired by the Goldilocks and The Three Bears fairy tale. Goldie Lax and her lover, Richard Campbell conspired to recover jewels from the three Behr brothers. It was just fair for me. More sex than story.
A safe cracking beauty, with the accomplice of her heart. Goldie is passionate, beautiful, charming, and smart. Richard is smart and charming and loves her unconditionally. The plan is to avenge a Holocaust victim. it's clever and fun.
