Dieses Bilderbuch macht gute Laune: Moritz entdeckt eines Morgens ein motzendes Muffelmonster in seinem Zimmer. Es ist wirklich mächtig schlecht gelaunt. Ganz klar, dass sich Moritz etwas Tolles ausdenken muss, um die schlechte Laune zu vertreiben – und das muffelige Monster am besten gleich mit!

I got this cute little book as a 2-in-1-edition with
Hallo, kleines Muffelmonster!
but can't find the edition anywhere so I'll review both books separately. The edition I have and, I think, these books in general are hellping little children learn how to read but are also meant to encourage parents to read out loud to their children as it is a vital ingredient in anyone's growing-up process.
At the beginning of this story, little Moritz wakes with a start due to loud bangs. It turns out, a little ill-tempered monster is kicking his bedpost!
Moritz soon finds out that the little monster is NOT in a good mood. If it was, it would be invisible. Being a nice little boy, he tries to cheer the little monster up ... even if it means it having to leave again.
As you can see in the sample image above, the book is nicely and cutely illustrated with full-page illustrations that bring Moritz, the monster and Moritz's home to life.
It's also a nice little lesson on emotions and how to treat others, presented in a subtle way. Me likey!
