About the author

Alex Whitehall

If there are two types of people in the world, Alex Whitehall probably isn't one of them, despite being a person. Their favorite pastimes include reading, horseback riding, reading, watching geek-tastic television, reading, and running. While Alex prefers writing over doing anything else (except maybe reading), sometimes they emerge from the cave to be social and to hunt for food at the local market. They can be found blogging, scrolling Tumblr, and tending after their aloe plants.

I just finished reading Alex's short story "Hold Me Tight" on HOT SUMMER DAYS. I so enjoyed his story that I wanted to find out more about him so I looked up his page and found this story. I am a gay Christian and I love to read about others who have (hopefully) reconciled themselves with God. This is a story about a priest who was thrown out of the church and rescued by someone he had rescued years earlier. It is a heartwarming story. It is also tame compared with what most of us read in our M/M group. Very different from his short in HOT SUMMER DAYS, but comforting. I look forward to reading more of his work.

This Short Story was rec'd to me in the M/M Group. There is a discussion about stories with a strong spiritual thread in the plot. This was a very good, heart warming story. The church doesn't come out so well, but being a spiritual person is very respected in this book.
Highly recommended.
I used the following website to download it from its original site. The ptogram worked well, and I didn't have to imput it chapter by chapter. It worked all at once.

The only way this story could have been more perfect fot me, if it had hinted at them finding a home in an Episcopal church family. But I can imagine that for them, so it's OK. 8)
