I finished this book last week however it took me a few days. Now I have read this book years ago and for some reason I thought it was a good book. Nope, I was mistaken. I have one book by Gwynee that is my all time favorite however this isn't it.
I love romance novels however I would like there to be a tad bit more reality in the books. Don't make me not like the character because they are simple minded. I'm reading to relax. I am not reading to be insulted.
The heroine married an older man for convenience and once married she fell for his attorney who was also in lust with her. They continue with the cat and mouse game of I want you, now I don’t. My opinion is that there were too many pages and the story should have been reduced to 100 pages. The story just continued on. I feel like most of Gwynne’s books just continue with filler type stuff that’s not really important to the story or the life of the characters.
Overall, the book had potential. Great story line but it fell flat.
I want to thank Chantell for allowing me to borrow 25 of her favorite books. I have read 13 so far. I have discovered that we have similar taste in a Good Read!
