Popsicles and Bicycles Volume II is a follow-up to the author’s previous book. It recounts the author’s remembrances of his teenage years and early adulthood. Set against the backdrop of political, cultural, social, and sports events, it covers the years 1969-to 1984. The author tells his deeply personal story, as he discusses many his continued battle with depression, his problems adjusting to a new stepfamily, his unhappy high school years, his early dating experiences, his quest for love and intimacy, and his pursuit of a purposeful career. In going along on the author’s journey, readers may reawaken their own memories of growing up in the 70s and early 80s. With much humor and pathos, some laughter and tears may arise as one reads of this author’s heartfelt remembrances.
