The beginner's guide to SEO is a TRUE beginner's guide, assuming that the reader knows absolutely nothing about SEO and defines even the most straightforward tools. It also assumes that the reader is not very computer savvy. Using some of this information in a Dummies Guide to SEO would be fine.
Unfortunately, for anyone with even a tiny amount of knowledge, it was a lot of wading through constant definitions and trying to find even a kernel of helpful knowledge for using SEO better.
Good introductory book to beginners to SEO. I think it could have benefited from more in depth information at parts due to the complex nature of this but it was great for those that know zero about how to organically grow a web site.
Apparently The Beginner's Guide to SEO isn't beginner-ish enough for me. The writing is engaging and fun, but without some previous knowledge of techno-babble, it went over my head. Gave up about halfway.
Ok, let's say it was quite interesting. I liked the way this book was written, not only stating the fact, but showing us real examples, filled with lots of links to the webpages that confirms the theory described in the book. But there were many repetitions: I don't like it when (if it's not really important) something is stated twice. I already knew half of the information this guide contains. But I'm quite satisfied with the book, given the fact it is recommended for absolute beginners.
This book is especially for the people, how are looking for a great start to understand the search engines behaviour towards ranking a website/blog. This books also introduce the effect of SEO in website ranking.
