Dancing with Destiny

Rate this book
Zelda Drummond proved that it was possible to bounce back from tragedy. She had escaped an abusive relationship and was reinventing herself. The climax of this "self-renewal" took place on the night of a dazzling comeback performance. Zelda had reclaimed her passion and proved that she was ready for anything. Anything, except another relationship. Kantey Swift was captivated the moment he spotted Zelda on stage. The alluring producer had a well-known appetite for women. Unfortunately, Zelda was tougher than anyone he had ever met. Though she couldn't help but be drawn, Zelda had no desire to encourage the man. She’d spent three years in a living nightmare, and decided a romantic involvement was not in her best interest. Kantey had made a decision as Zelda Drummond was far too beautiful to keep herself locked away. Eventually, his sensuous spell had worked its magic. The "magic” is threatened when Zelda's ex-flame Gary Stewart surfaces with vengeful intentions. He became an unwelcomed fixture; appearing where and when he was least expected. Despite the obstacles, however, the producer and the ballerina develop a powerful union. They would come to rely on every aspect of its strength to overcome the darkness threatening it.

Highly recommended!👏

Gary is a messed up character. Well, delusional if he thought Zelda would ever take him back. For a while I seriously thought that Kantey was going to have to result to begging for Zelda attention. You can sense their attraction for one another. From the beginning to the end I couldn't put it down.

A wonderful rollercoaster...

I believe this is an early novel written by mz.AlTonya it still captivates today... Love is never easy and the harder some people fight it the harder they fall...but love always prevails when its honest and true up and down like a roller coaster Kantey and Zelda fought for it inspite of the obstacles👏👍😘😍😉😏😊😆😀😃😁😄😅😂😎💓💗💞💘😈

Although Ivan was an absolute pig for half the book, I thought it was pretty good. It was nice to see Rencia stick to her guns and pursuit a career despite her husbands male chauvinistic attitude. It did take Ivan and Rencia a really long time to work things out. I don't know if it was realistic that a couple is apart for 3yrs, and remained married w/o seeing other people. I think if they dated others it would have added a bit more spice to the story. Overall I enjoyed it, and would recommend.

Long, but great enjoyed reading about life after the I do's. This took me back to the early romance days. Would like to see other longer stories (I say it was long because it been forever since we got more than 216 page in a romance book.) Before they could Dance With Destiny, Kantey has to get past his regerts. Zelda need to realize you aren't weak when you ask for help.

Lots of grammatical errors. Her descriptions seemed very redundant. Love scenes were very mundane. The book's only excitement came in chapters where the ex-boyfriend was scheming to get back with her. I was disappointed as the last book I read by Altonya Washington was very good and well written.

I enjoyed this story. My only complaint was that Gary (the ex abusive boyfriend) kept popping up. I was so over him after the second appearance. However I enjoyed the read.
