Everyone wants to be loved. Tabitha understands that. She shares her gifts with those who seek and, perhaps, need love the most male celebrities. She remains anonymous by changing her name, age, and address as often as she changes the men she dates. Only a few things remain constant in her the continued love and support of her foster sisters in Seattle and the record she keeps of her life in her secret diary. When a wealthy banker offers Tabitha a huge paycheck to help bring to justice a high-profile celebrity who is known to have sex with underage women, Tabitha finds herself on the wrong side of desperate men, some of whom have more to lose than just their privacy. This book was straight but not good as the Flyy Girls. Tabitha Knight is a groupie. But she sees herself as more. She thinks that she is providing men with support and nurturing that they cannot get elsewhere. She grew up in a foster home and tries to find the love, acceptance, and security that she lacks in rich, famous, successful, men. Using aliases, different ages, and moving frequently keeps Tabitha at the top of her game. She also keeps a record of all of her encounters in several diaries.
Tabitha is enjoying her lavish lifestyle, and one day she is offered the ultimate challenge. She is to get close to and eventually bring down, Isaac Abraham, an actor with a known preference for underage girls. Tabitha reluctantly agrees because she is up for the challenge and the hundred thousand dollars she will receive if she is successful. But she has no idea what she is in for. When people begin to wind up dead, and the search is on for the information contained in her journals, she discovers that someone will not stop until they have what they want.
It was exciting the first few chapters than it began to lose my interest. The last two chapters were a bit disappointing. I always enjoy reading Omar Tyree books however this one gets two stars from me.
I had this book for years before I finally decided to read it. I almost gave it away but then I decided I needed to start reading books in my TBR pile (more like TBR room haha). The cover just didn’t appeal to me. From the start I was committed to Teresa/Tabby etc. I really wanted to see where the story went. We’ll, it took a turn. Not a turn I was expecting. The book kinda shifted tones once we went to New York. It almost read like a different book to me. The ending didn’t wrap up enough and left me with too many unanswered questions. The book did hold my attention and was an entertaining read.
It was a decent book and one has to keep in mind that it was written in the 90s so that's almost 30 years later. Nonetheless, it was a good book with an okay fairly non predictable but rewarding ending.
I am not a fan the story was dragged out,I can normally read a book within a few days or within the week! This book was boring but I refused too put it away it may have taken me 2 weeks didn’t hold my interest.
I liked this book, i read it on my own. It was about a girl named Tabitha; who got token care of by the men she was sleeping with. She was sleeping with this old man that was rich and he was very nice to her and he took her everywhere, he was very nice and plenty others. She keep a diary and wrote in it just about everyday. She never used her real name or age, she had lots of nicknames. She had everything together until she had to be a groupie for a basketball player for an investigation because she was getting a lot of money for it...read the rest if you want to know what happened.
The novel is about a young women who portrays herself as much younger than she is to rich and famous men. She's never in serious relationships and is often the mistress to many married men who pay her large sums of money. She is a "groupie"...hence the title. This novel also includes an investigation that she gets involved with that turns sour. The book is sexy and an easy read.
This is my first Omar Tyree book. I enjoyed it mostly but the ending was a huge let down. The storylines were not resolved. Towards the end I had to really focus and re-read in order to understand who was playing for which team. It was a bit chaotic. I know that there were several lessons dispensed but ...
It offers some insight into the lives of rich men and paid hookers, underage sex, etc. <-Asks a lot of good questions about those topics too; things like where to draw the line on privacy, what is considered sex trafficking, consented underage sex, a wife that sticks although she knows her husband pays someone else for sex, etc.

I had this one a long time, really wanted to like it. But, I just couldn't get into it. The prose felt a bit old-fashioned, or something. I did like Tabby and her determination & conviction, and how she was from foster care, but also that that was not an insurmountable obstacle, and that she still had a good relationship with her foster sisters.
This book is very interesting. Tabitha, the main character ilives a very unstable life having relations with rich and famous men, and write about her adventures with them in her diary with out tehem knowing. I would recommend this book to anyone that is into books full of drama and suspense
I think this book was written perfectly,.. this book alone has made me an Omar Tyree fan... On top of his writing i think he did well with the character (Tabitha) I like books with good characters
Not a good book. At all. I love books where a character keeps a diary. It makes it more personal but this book should've been still in the brainstorming phase. I don't think I even finished it.
Diary of a Groupie is just what the title says. It is a fictional book that depicts the many sexual rendezvous she has encountered with many famous celebrities.
