This was given to me as a birthday present and it is one of the best presents I have received. As a fan of The Peaky Blinders, I was ecstatic to receive this.
It is a book full of bad ass, inspirational quotes from the formidable, and much loved characters in the series. The quotes are supported by stunning illustrations. It is a book to behold and read over and over again. The inspirational quotes are those to live your life by... sometimes 🤭

In all honesty I still haven't watched Peaky Blinders although I am very much aware of the popularity of the TV series thanks to a few friends who are big fans. With a selection of quotes and excellent quality pictures and stills, Peaky Blinders: Official Wit and Wisdom seems like a perfect, coffee table book for fans to enjoy.

I enjoyed the series and thought many of the dialogues were good. This book has a collection of dialogues along with images that go with them. It was nice to relive the scenes and story, but I wouldn't buy or borrow this book to do that. Not for me, but if you're a hardcore fan of the series, you may like it.

Peaky Blinders is one of my absolute favorite series and I just couldn't pass on seeing what this book was all about. I loved how the pictures took me back to some of the iconic scenes of the series and the quotes... I swear I could hear the characters as they said them!
Overall a great experience for every Peaky Blinders fan!

We love Peaky Blinders in this house, in small doses … the violence is too much to binge watch and we are spreading out the last few seasons as we really don’t want it to end. And given Cillian Murphy’s sudden (why? He’s been amazing for decades) rising star they would not be able to afford him to come back. (I don’t know if his character is still alive as we have yet to finish the show!)
What we love about the show is the LINES! Some make their way into our daily conversation (WHY? Because I’m a Peaky FFFFFFFING Blinder! Is an oft response to a stupid question on anyone’s part! And we have been known to use the “I’m not God, Not Yet” when I try to negotiate with children and pets) This is a great book for fans of the show as is the cookbook (The Official Peaky Blinders Cookbook: 50 Recipes Selected by The Shelby Company Ltd by Tob Morris: I always cross-reference books when I can!) – it’s a fitting tribute for fans of a beloved show that makes me cry every time I see Helen McCrory on the screen.

Peaky Blinders is undoubtedly one of the best historical drama shows that has been released in recent years, but their library of publications leaves me somewhat confused. I’ll give them a guide book to the series and allow for a cheeky cocktail recipes book (though we all know the Blinders drink their whiskey neat), but did we need a volume of quotes? Thomas Shelby and the many other intricately written characters that populate the seedy underworld of Birmingham are a joy to watch on screen, but taken out of the context of the show’s action their words don’t ring quite as true and the potential impact of the volume is lost. The pairing of each quote with a still from the series does make an attempt to build some narrative, but the reproduction isn’t as sharp as I would have liked to see and the constantly changing format of display left me a touch underwhelmed as I paged through. With a touch more planning and panache, I can see a true book of wit and wisdom from the series working well, but this effort fell a bit short of the mark.

My Review:
Peaky Blinders is one of the best shows that have been on television (I stand by this statement). A few years ago, I started watching it after it was recommended to me time and time again. These characters are some of the most corrupt (yet classy) characters I’ve ever come across…but they do it in a way that you root for them. You like them. You care about them through the good and all of the bad (so, so much bad).
This collection of photos gives us pictures from the show, and as someone who hasn’t watched it in a bit, I realized how much I missed these people, and now I just want to rewatch it all again and make everyone else watch it too. Aside from the photos are quotes – some notable and others are more cryptic and can be understood if you watch the show – but I’m assuming if you’re looking at this book, you’ve seen the show.

For many evenings, we sat rapt in the swirl, the brilliance, and terrible twists and turns of the Peaky Blinders series on television. With PEAKY BLINDERS: OFFICIAL WIT & WISDOM, key moments and memorable quotes are highlighted with beautiful photographs from the show, dropping me back into those incredible scenes with the quick wit, swift justice, and blinding clarity of a criminal family that somehow made itself known and appealing to viewers. I enjoyed the book, but it did not capture the full flavor and power of the program -- how could such bites do anything but leave me hungering for more? However, it was a welcome reminder to plunge back into the series and the convoluted and logical events. I received a copy of this book and these opinions are my own, unbiased thoughts.

A nice collection of quotes of the serie Peaky Blinders. I have watched the serie and I love the whole atmosphere in it. This book perfectly shows that atmosphere too because of the added pictures. I also like that for each quote there's a fitting image and often paired with the person who said the quote.

A beautiful book full of quotes from beloved characters from Peaky Blinders, with additional photos from the series.
As a fan of the series, I add the request this book as soon as I saw it. The stills and quotes made me remember some of the scenes from the series, but I would have liked a bit more detail on the characters and the specific scenes. I think some other memorable quotes weren't included, which is shame, but at the same time, I understand you can't add all of them.
Still, this book took me back and it's the perfect gift for the faithful followers of the series.

Princess Fuzzypants here: Peaky Blinders was riveting tv. Violent, crude and mesmerizing, it is the story of a family with Gypsy roots in post WWI Birmingham who hard scrabble up the crime ladder to wealth and power but regardless of the heights, never quite to respectability and acceptance.
The scripts were brilliant and this book takes some of the best lines and accompanies them with stills from the show. It is an excellent coffee table book for fans of the show.

This is definitely one for the hardcore fans of Peaky Blinders, to the rest of us it's an expensive little book weighing in just shy of ten pounds for what surmounts to a few words on every other page and stills from the show on the others.
Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining about the endless photos of Tommy Shelby/Cillian Murphy and the fact that I love the show, I just think there comes a time when the cashing in has to stop before it goes into overkill.

I never watch Peaky Blinders, but was always interested by it, and that book just push me to watch it. The quotes and the wits in them are just great. Funny dark and violent humor. Perfect for me! The book also provides a lot of good pictures of scenes from the show. A nice coffee table book for the fans, or the soon to be!

I love Peaky Blinders. This book is literally just character quotes and stills from the show. It has lots and lots of gorgeous pictures of Cillian being gorgeous, so no complaints from me there. The quotes were a mixed bag of iconic lines and good sentiment. Of course "No Fighting" was among them. Mostly this book just made me want to rewatch the show.

The quotes picked are perfect! I will definitely be purchasing this in hardcover on release day. This is a must have for all Peaky Blinders fans.

I've never seen this show. My son loves it though. I think this would make an excellent gift for anyone who is a fan. It's clear from the quotes that the show is about family and honour.

The most beautiful photography! The book missed some iconic quotes from the show, and I think there were better ones than those included, but who cares about that when you have Tommy Shelby gracing the pages.
