New Details-Connects has undergone a revision based on the memories of Author Katrina Rose flooding back into her brain like a Pandora's Box from years of pushing them away for her own survival. Sometimes, the truth is stranger than fiction, and the whodunit book Connects is a prime example how bizarre meets reality. Shortly, after Abigail Morrison moves into her dream home, she begins to dream of the nineteen-year-old secret that everyone in the rural town of Gardner wanted to forget. The drug dealer's wife was found dead on the railroad tracks, except Abigail's dreams tell a different story on what really happened. Based on a true story, the book Connects is written as fiction to protect the INNOCENT and even the GUILTY!

Allow me to introduce myself—I'm Katrina Rose, though many know me as *Kat’s in the Hat*, a nickname earned from my love of donning whimsical hats at book events. I've been writing since childhood, chasing stories that stir the soul and spark the imagination. All of my writings are based on true stories, but for my own protection and those that are innocent, I write the stories as fiction changing the names and locations purposely for everyone's sake. My latest passion project is the *Dream Detective Series*, a genre-bending blend of murder mystery and the paranormal, inspired by true events in the country house secluded deep within the woods of a small town with many secrets. It begins with *Connects*, available exclusively on Amazon in paperback, Kindle, and Audible. The journey continues with *Hollow Man*, now available on Amazon kindle. To balance the intensity of the Dream Detective world, I also write *Body Mind and Soul*—.99, uplifting series centered on healing, positivity, and resilience. That last word—*resilience*—isn’t just a theme in my writing; it’s a truth I’ve lived. After surviving an abusive marriage that nearly silenced my voice and sabotaged my first publication, I’ve learned that what’s broken can be mended. Including the woman behind the pen. *Hollow Man* is more than a sequel—it’s a reclamation. Thank you for joining me on this journey. Your support means everything. If my stories speak to you, I’d be honored if you’d leave a review and help others find their way to the dream. Explore more at: https://amazon.com/author/katrinarose

The author Katrina takes us on a journey in a small town where Abby and Daniel have bought their dream home. But for Abby it starts to turn into a nightmare as her dreams of ghosts and their lives start to haunt her even in her waking hours.

Abby is sensitive to spirits. She is starting to have weird feelings and is hearing the word murder whispered to her. Her dreams about Ann Marie and Donna who were murdered on her property years ago are starting to over take her life. Abby tries to find out the truth behind the deaths but she is met with a town full of people who want the past left alone and will do anything to keep the secrets of them quiet. All Ann Marie and Donna want is their story told and not to be forgotten. Through Abby who nurtures her gift and goes digging for the truth for these restless spirits we find out about these women and their lives and how they were really taken from them.

Katrina writes the story so well and pulls you in with all her details to all 3 women’s lives. Although this is not my normal kind of book I read I found myself loving this story and wanting to know more about Abby and the spirits she sees. I am looking forward to reading more books from Katrina.

I was fascinated by the story and it kept me interested even though when I read the "what this book is about" I had misgivings . I did have to reread many of the passages because of the complex sentence structure to make sure I was not missing something. I am assuming this is because it was written they way we speak, rather than the way most of us read. The ending left a few unanswered questions that I would have liked to have seen tied up such as : what about the 8 other ghosts, her relationship with her husband, the corrupt police officer

Connects: True Ghost Story Hi y'all Anne here, so I just finished reading this book and wow is all I have to say. The author tells a story that takes you to a tiny country town up north, where a dream house is purchased. Happy and alive the couple Abby and Daniel move in, Daniel unaware that already Abby is getting strange feelings and hearing the word murder whispered into her ear. Abby is sensitive to spirits and their untimely demise. Katrina shows how precarious life can be when living in a world mixed with death, drugs, and loads of deceit. The town has gone out of their way to hide their nasty habits right along side of murders, no one wants to get into trouble so even the least likely of people knows the secret. Who will tell? The past can't stay hidden forever and as the main character Abby gets to poking around people secrets are pouring out of the wood works. Ann Marie and Donna take center stage as the now spirits of murders past, both are mothers who have been anxiously waiting a person who could hear, see and feel their wants and regrets as well as the hate for being left as part of a cover up.
No persons soul deserves to be left to wonder earth because of the cowardice of others. Their stories will be told no matter if the teller is willing or not. A mothers love for her child can pass through worlds and their wants for their child will not go unheard. This story is beautifully told showing all the love and fear that can go along with spirits and their messages, Abby has a true gift that she accepts and nurtures. By the end of the story a "Connection" has been formed between Abby, Donna, and Ann Marie as well as myself the reader. I felt connected to this story by the end having been given details that pull you into the tale of all these womens lives.
Anyone who loves murder/mystery would love this book also given the amount of digging Abby must do to get the truth. But true ghost lovers and seekers will adore this book. I know its out of my usual range of books but I enjoyed this book, the basis of the true story kept me awake waiting for things that go bump in the night. I recommend this book for those that love the paranormal as a part of our own world. i loved this book and truly hope the author Katrina will share more of her stories with us..... 5 out of 5 stars for this true story...

For Ghost Whisperer fans, Connects is a must read book. Connects is about Abigail Morrison who is a psychic. She helps spirits to find peace and then crosses them over. In Connects, Abigail dreamed about a woman who was murdered by her husband but the crime report said that she was killed in a train accident. As Abigail searched for the truth, she discovered that another woman was also murdered on the property that she and her husband Daniel bought.

What Abigail didn't understand was the spirits kept quiet until after Daniel and her moved into the property. As she continued to find the truth, she always has some premonitions that the retired judge and the former detective were also lying to her. As bits and pieces of rumors from some of the local residents, she noticed that the two crime reports and dreams are contradicted each other.

Not only does she have to help the two spirits crosses over, she also discovered that there are eight other spirits living on her property. One of them is trying to posses her. Not only does she needs to solve the crimes, she always has to fight for her life back.

As for the two crimes, I knew what had happened based on one information in the story. It was something that just made sense (without spoiling anything for the readers). The excerpt of the book sounds scary but I don't feel scared. I just wanted to know how these spirits fit into the crimes. This story is not as black and white as it seems especially when there are more than one haunting involved.

I’m never the one to read, I didn’t even like to read in school! But as soon as I started reading this book I could say I was tuned into it! I haven’t gotten too far into it yet! But I’m so excited to continue to read this book, and see what happens! If she solves murders? And her playmate “hernie hernie” really draws my attention! If I was to continue to read it would be books like these! I never understood things like this and I think that’s why I get so intrigued by it! I’ll be leaving another review as soon as I finish it! I can’t wait!

In Katrina Rose's novel, Connects: True Ghost Story the protagonist Abigail Morrison, has always been able to see spirits. As a young child, her playmate was a ghost. As she grew older she suppressed this gift, until her and her husband Daniel buy a country home. Here, she begins to have vivid dreams and experience paranormal events. She uncovers two murders, and begins to investigate to help these spirits. I really wanted to enjoy this book, as I liked the overall concept, but this book ended up falling short of my expectations. The writing did not flow smoothly, it was filled with grammatical errors and the sentences at times were cumbersome. Thoughts were repeated, as if the writer felt you couldn’t understand her thought process, so she reworded it and told you again.

I thought the story was beautifully told. It made me cry at the end. If you are a spiritual person and or love ghosts, buy the book. I could look past the few errors, because it was so amazing the connection Abbey had with her spirits. What an experience she must have had!

This book held my interest from cover to cover, but the end is where it all came together. A must read if you like ghosts and the unknown, and how unconventionally they communicate with us. Loved it.

I wanted to really like this book alot. the action and story are a little too slow in developing for me. The access given by the police is a little too easy for her to recieve. I found myself wanting it to end

I can always tell when I first start reading a book if it is going to be one I can't put down and this is one of them. Well worth the money spent on this book. I have a teen grand daughter that loves stories like this and I am going to let her borrow my Kindle to read this when she comes to visit.

Connects by Katrina Rose is an unforgettable journey into the tangled web of memory, mystery, and truth. The author brilliantly blends psychological depth with gripping suspense, pulling readers into Abigail Morrison’s chilling discovery of a town’s long-buried secret. Each page feels alive with emotion and intrigue, as Rose transforms personal memories into a riveting whodunit that blurs the line between fiction and reality. A haunting, beautifully written story that lingers long after the final page truly a fivestar read

Connects is a mind-bending thriller that grips you from the very first chapter. Katrina Rose turns buried memories into a pulse-pounding story that feels too vivid, too strange, and too real to be “just fiction.” Abigail’s dreams of a nineteen-year-old secret unravel with chilling clarity, pulling readers into a mystery the entire town wanted to bury.
This is storytelling at its most powerful, raw, emotional, and unforgettable.
A full 5-star masterpiece. Highly recommended

This book is thriller perfection. Connects merges true-life darkness with gripping fiction, creating a world where dreams reveal more truth than the living ever dared to speak. Abigail Morrison is a character you root for, fear for, and follow breathlessly through every twist.
Katrina Rose’s writing is sharp, cinematic, and intensely atmospheric.
5 stars for a novel that will keep you awake long after the last page.

Crazy good read, especially since I was not expecting so many twists and turns. Buy it and pass it to someone who loves ghosts. They won't be sorry they read Abbey's story. She gives a new perspective what its like to be possessed. It wasn't anything like the Exorcist, it was more personal. This book has made me think on a deeper level. Thanks!

Katrina writes a book based on her truth... what an incredible story! Living through the pages of this story makes it almost impossible to put down. Her story shows such an insight and level of paranormal communication that it's hard to decide whether we are witnessing a blessing or a curse. I know that I wouldn't have had the strength to survive it.

The story was decently interesting, but the author really could have used an editor. It was distracting to read with the many errors.
