Inside Special Operations

Delta Force: Counterterrorism Unit of the U.s. Army

Rate this book
As a direct response to the onslaught of terrorist acts in the 197s, the Delta Force was originally organized to free hostages. It has developed into an elite counterterrorist unit of the United States Special Forces. This book covers the history of the Delta Force, their methods of rescue, and the dangerous missions in which they have been involved. Burnett also describes the grueling training every special ops soldier must go through and explains the equipment, weapons, and transport methods they use.

I would like to know who Betty Burnett is , who publishes her books like Delta Force and The USS Cole Book. I bought the Delta Force book about 6 years ago thinking it would she more light on Delta. I waited two months for the book because it was a special order and paid $30 for it. The book was only 50 pages long and was written in size 72 font! It was if she trolled the internet and copy and pasted what she could find on Delta and then pawned it off as a book. I read a review on Amazon.com that she did the same thing with the book about the bombing of the USS Cole.

I would give it negative stars if I could. Betty you ought to be ashamed of yourself for peddling this crap off as research or a book. I'd be willing to bet that you claim to be an expert on Delta because you "wrote" a book about them.

As for the person who gave it 5 stars...Either you are Betty Burnett, or a close relative.

This book was about the war and it explains the war and whats going around in the war and the book showed how everything went on. I wish that the book explained the deaths a little more because all it said was man down, man down. also I want the book to have a little bit more pictures to show the setting and where they are in the war because the pictures they had were not about the setting it was about him and what he looked like in the army uniform.
