The actions in the play begin with the return of Prince Obiya who has just completed his studies in United KIngdom. He's later made the first indigeneous Education Seretary (ES). But as events unfold in the play, King Ashirika, his father goes out of luck and influene until his ultimate dethronement and expulsion from the chiefdom.
