before you to have a glimpse
of all that is in me,
and all that I am composed of,
my joys and my sorrows,

my life and my love,
all that every one feels,
hopes and dreams for.

"I write to feel the ecstasy
That a young girl feels in her age.
The momentary glance of a lad
That makes her heart flutter in the cage... "

As a poet myself, I always prefer poetry books and after a long time I read a poetry book, and probably it is the first one of this year.
The readers can find so many poems in the book with so many flavors.
I loved how the author mixed love, passion sadness, ecstasy and many more elements in the poems, the reader can feel the emotions through the poems easily.
I loved the author's choice of words, simple and lucid.
The title is really appropriate.
The cover is so eye catching.
Poetry lovers shouldn't miss the book!

Here is the collection of poems by Prasupta Roy. I have already read her previous books. But first time here are the poems she published. I loved her writing styles so thought to pick this poetry anthology. And not to my surprise, this is also the best one I read.
Every poem is unique and wonderfully written. I could connect my life with some lines. I find it enchanting reading every verse. It really feels charismatic while you fell in love with words. kudos to author who writes so well. I think aptly described every verse. If you are poetry lover then don't miss this one.

As the years roll by, I find myself exploring various genres in English and Hindi apart from Telugu. One of them is modern poetry. There is a vibrant breeze in the new writers' and poets' books. Also, I have to mention specially about the Indian poets. Though I have immense respect and love for the classic and contemporary poets, some of the most striking poems are from new-age modern Indian poets.

Along the same lines, recently, I had the chance to pick yet another poetry collection by an Indian author\writer\poet – Prasupta Roy. I have read her previous fiction novel, but it is a collection of her poems this time. With an attractive book cover, comfortable font size, and not to forget to mention the book paper quality, which is superb, Ecstasy by Prasupta Roy is found interesting from the first poem. Why? Read on to know more about my experience of reading it.

What to expect from the book?
Expect a collection of honest, beautifully written poems.
Expect the emotions pouring out like a stream of fresh water in every verse.
Expect poems that are written in simple English but carry heavy meaning.

Who can read?
Ecstasy is a collection of 102 poems that horse around various themes. If some predominantly speak of nature and human feelings ideally in combination, others reflect upon abstract and societal things. Some poems were written on themes like Justice, Me too, The Dirge and Rules showcase the hurt, disciplined and sometimes helpless citizen in the poet. This, I can say, is a representation of many like us, who are chained with no solution for some issues that arise.

With so much variety, this book is a delight to many poetry lovers, and beginner-level readers can take this opportunity to read, understand and analyze the poetry genre.
How good is the author's writing style?
In the book Ecstasy by Prasupta Roy, the poems oscillate between varied themes as mentioned eloquently. Written in simple English with rich vocabulary, these poems instantly capture the reader's mind, and if they are delved deep, some poems will remain in their hearts for a longer time. Why? Because every verse is written honestly and presented elegantly.

How entertaining is the book?
The poems are emotionally and aesthetically expressive. They allow the readers to think and introspect; the main motto of this beautiful literary artwork called - poetry.

Pick it if:
-you are looking for a versatile collection of poetry.
-you enjoy poetry that uses rich language.
- you are looking for poems with varied themes.

"To freeze the moments, I paint my words
and encase them into Books of poetry."

With a thought as pure as that, poetess Prasupta Roy painted her debut poetry book "Ecstasy" where her heart is laid bare for everyone to have a glimpse at the emotions of a wandering soul.

Packed with metaphors, symbolism and vivid imagery, the book speaks the language of poetry, radiating the joys and sorrows, dreams and realities, happiness and struggles, and such unforgettable experiences that encompass the rhythm of life.

"Death, be not proud of your strength.
You are not the most powerful.
Love is also in the game."

Pearls of wisdom, motivation and emotion embody the poems and bring the book to life for the readers to experience the pure joy of being alive. Brushing through the pages of the book is like surfing through the hidden crevices of life.

The book of poetry embraces multiple themes like love, pain, heartbreak, death, nature, dreams, struggle, writing, society, strength of an woman, parental affection and a lot more.

"She is a killer in every reason.
Be it love, passion or treason.
So before you call her with different names
Remember, she is a strong, powerful dame."

One thing that's common in all the poems is Ecstasy. Yes, there is happiness in the pangs of love too since it fills us with myriad of emotions that gives birth to poetry. And Prasupta Roy paints a startling picture of how that can be an artist's path to moksha: a state of complete salvation and happiness.

Meticulously spun with the petals of experiences from the poetess' life, "Ecstasy" promises to take the readers on a emotional ride to explore life in the most unexpected, astounding and purest form.

"Life is interspersed with joy and pain.
You need to lose if you wish to gain."
