Very interesting book on the US Constitution and the 27 Amendments. This book breaks down the history of each Amendment and how each one changes the Constitution and the other Amendments. This also shows from the example of the Constitutional changes brought on by the Confederacy what happens when the US Constitution is weakened and watered down.
Experts on the Constitution have been proven to not be experts. An example of this was shown in the passing of the 27th Amendment. The experts were proved to not be experts when the 27th Amendment was passed without many people understanding that there was an proposed Amendment out there to be discussed.

A college kid looking to make a difference offered to find any proposed amendments out there and get one or more ratified. His professor thought it a dumb idea and gave him "C" on the paper. He went ahead and worked hard for 10 years and the 27th Amendment was ratified.
