I'm her father's closest friend.
And I've vowed to tame his estranged daughter.
But her fire is so d*mn fierce it reduces my rules to ash.
How will I protect her when all I want is to ruin her?

Ava:
There I was selling crab cakes out of my food truck,
When the world's biggest scrooge approaches me.
I can't help but notice his impressively ripped body in a perfectly tailored suit.
His eyes pierce right through me - and make my insides flutter.
I've always been attracted to older men - but this one has all the warmth of an ice cube.

Fast forward and I find myself in a foreign country with my every move scrutinized.
Luc's mission: Train me to be a proper princess.
A role I don't even know if I want!
I'm determined to find answers about my mother,
But the harder Luc tries to turn me into a future queen...
The more I have a growing need to kneel before him.

He's the farthest thing from kind.
Luc is possessive. Arrogant. And cold.
And now, according to the test in my hand...
He's the father of my baby.

Royal Daddy is book twelve in the series Silver Fox Daddies by author K.C. Crowne. This is a sweet tale - almost like a fairytale but with heat. There’s bits of conflict and some trails that the characters must deal with. Some inner angst and reality issues. In the end like all fairytales you get your HEA.
Enjoy!!.

Fighting For Love and Acceptance -
Ava had grown up not knowing who her father was, so when Luc turned up and informed her she was a Princess and that her father had sent for her to claim her rightful role as his heir, she thought it was a fantasy. However, what she didn’t realise was that accepting the news would take her on a wild and wonderful journey, which would not only change her life, but also change her father’s perspective on the world and find her soulmate at the same time.

This was a story with so many secrets and teachable moments, that made this story a worthwhile reading experience. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book and I seriously couldn’t put it down once I started. It is a definite must read book.

Oh, my gosh! Why was this book so much fun? I have no idea, but I enjoyed every single moment of it. Yes, it's super Princess Diaries tropey. I don't care. I had it's own chops to be fun and sexy and everything I wanted in a romance book. It just hit the spot.

Luc was awesome. You thought he was going to be a prick in the beginning. Nope. He was such a sweetheart, and he came to bat for Ava time after time. The more I read, the more I liked him. Ava was so awesome--spunky, yet vulnerable. She really fought against changing herself to fit other's idea of what you should be. There was just so much meat and potatoes to this book. Strong themes and characterization. Good pacing. I was shocked.

This author writes some sexy, cute romances, but this one impressed the hell out of me. *slow clap* My hat is off to you. Keep them coming just like this one.

A Modern Fairy Tale with a Twist

Every little girl imagines that she is a princess. But what 25-year-old Ava Jenson never knew, and which her mom never shared, was that Ava really was a princess. And, in truth mom, Annalise, was a run-away princess. But when mom died, teenage Ava and her younger half-sister, the child of mom’s American marriage, had not learned about mom’s past. But, both sisters were their mom’s daughters—beautiful, smart, caring, determined and resilient.

And, like a princess in a fairytale, Ava’s life wasn’t always easy. After her relocation to the US and settling in Seattle, Washington, mom eventually remarried and presented Ava will a baby sister, Hailey, whom Ava adored. And, while Ava also gained a step-father, he never accepted Ava, the child of another man, as his daughter.

So, when Ava is still a teenager and mom died of cancer, no one is surprised, least of all Ava, when her stepdad places Ava into the care of social services, refusing to care for another man’s child. But intelligent and determined, Ava earned a place in the state’s university system, and with monies left to her in her mom’s will, upon graduation with a degree in business, Ava and Hailey opened a food truck offering two simple, but delicious dishes—fresh crabcake sandwiches and fresh crab soup.

What Ava never expected while at her usual, mid-day activity—selling crabcake sandwiches and crab soup for Seattle’s discerning palates—was to be approached by a tall, handsome, older man in his mid-40’s, but not to order lunch. With close-cropped, dark blonde hair and steely gray eyes set under dark thick eyebrows and a refined nose, all set above a square jaw and sharp cheekbones, Lucas—Luc—Mortenson, a friend of her deceased mom and Ava’s still living, but unidentified, dad—had been sent to locate her. And while many of Seattle’s smart, attractive, handsome tech and business men made their way to Ava and Hailey’s food truck, Ava had never had one approach who literally took her breath away. So, when Luc asks if he can speak to her privately about her mom’s past, Ava is both stunned and intrigued.

Once more, KC Crowne lures her readers into the world of romance and emotional challenge with the appearance of a handsome older man seeking to open a young woman’s eyes to unknown worlds and to love. I received an ARC through Booksprout, but always purchase KC Crowne’s romances for my personal collection.

Luc and Ava certainly set up sparks and fireworks when they are together. She has learned to be an independent, take-charge businesswoman and to refuse to be pushed around. When Luc shows up in front of her food truck in all his sexy, formal and rather growly form to tell Ava he needs to speak to her immediately, she is irate and confrontational. He mentions her mother, leaves a card and insists she call him to set up a meeting. That meeting changes her life forever. Discovering her royal background is a shock to say the least, but meeting her father and being informed of what is expected of her as his daughter is intimidating. Tattoo’s, purple hair and piercings are part of Ava’s persona, and now she is to be made over as a princess. Rather like My Fair Lady, including the criticism and falling in love with her tutor, Luc. Neither can resist each other and they indulge in some very hot and steamy interludes. Of course Luc is much older, a fiend of her father’s and supposedly taboo. Add in her very critical father and Ava’s very strained relationship with him, and it seems that any relationship between Ava and Luc is doomed for trouble and heartbreak.

Ava and Luc’s story is emotional, entertaining and enthralling. I loved Ava’s feisty independence and the way she stands up for herself. Luc seemed far too arrogant and stuffy at first, but Ava certainly exposes his heart. The banter and snark between them create some very funny scenes in this book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

An unusual story as the Queen from a small European country escaped to Seattle with her daughter, because she could no longer live with her husband's roaming eye. Ten years after the Queen's passing the King sends his right hand man to bring the Princess home. At first the Princess does not believe his story, but she eventually agrees to return with him. She remembers nothing of this country or the father that was cold to her. She could not seem to do anything right as they proceed to turn her into the country's Princess, he in visions which happens to be nothing like her personality. She was miserable and wanted to go home, but his man talked her out of it. Somewhere along the line she fell in love with the King's man. When the King discovered this he went into a whole new orbit. Firing his man and kicking him out of the palace. The Princess had a few choice words for her father the King before she left the palace too which her father was not expecting. I was surprised that King knew when the Queen passed and the Princess was only fifteen. He allowed her to go into foster care. That would have seemed like the perfect time to claim his daughter bringing her back and train her for a life of royalty. That was the main reason I gave this book only four stars as the King got an annual report on his wife and daughter. A different type of story than the norm from Ms. Crowne, but well worth thr read.

Ava Jenson is a hip twenty-something hard-working entrepreneur with her own business. With her sister Hailey as her partner they own and run a crab cakes food truck, in Seattle. Ava has purple hair, a tat, and a self-confident and happy attitude. Life is hectic but very good until a mysterious gorgeous hung of a man steps up claiming she is the long lost princess of Endoria, a small country near Switzerland, and her father, King Alaric wants her home to be crowned his heir! What!
Royal right-hand-man Lucas is an uptight European snob but he believes Ava can be “polished up” to become the “proper” princess the king wants…BUT…Ava’s like –not so fast…I like myself as I am. It’s a war of wills and through most of this story, I wanted to slap the King. He was a totally cold, snobby, demanding man. Luc on the other hand is very attracted to Ava and their relationship grows in secret. Luc is a surprise in the bedroom!!
There is a lot of good background in the story which made it very entertaining. I loved the many wonderful characters that make this story such an interesting read… AND… the best part is the ending. OMG, IT IS SO WONDERFUL. I will be rereading this story again. I received a free advanced copy of Royal Daddy from Booksprout and am happy to share my opinion. Linda

Every once in a while, I like to indulge in a royalty romance, but you add in an age gap and a pregnancy and I'm in.
Ava is perfectly content running her crab cake truck with her half-sister. They have a rhythm and are doing quite well for themselves. One day she notices a creeper who introduces himself as Lucas and says she is a princess. Luc is the best friend and confidant to the King, Ava's non-existent father. He is tasked with having to bring the princess home to Edoria.
This was a cute read. There were times were I would get easily distracted while reading. It contained some excessive words, possibly scenes, that weren't needed, but overall, I enjoyed this fun little read.

Ava is happily running her Crab Cake Truck with her sister Hailey. Their unofficial motto is “The Best Crab Cakes In Seattle, Served With A Side Of Sass”. With her purple hair, nose ring and tattoo sleeve on her arm, Ava is very happy to prove this unofficial motto. Her world is flipped upside down when she meets Luc, a rude customer who happens to be smoking hot. Turns out Luc in in Seattle to bring Ava back to her father who is King of Edoria. Ava never knew her father, just that her mother left him when she was just a baby, and definitely never knew her mom was queen of Edoria. Now Ava is a Princess and eventually queen but her father is cold and distant. Luc is her fathers best friend as well as in the position of right hand man to the King. While Luc helps Ava get used to Edoria feelings grow and the chemistry can’t be ignored. If the King finds out there’s no telling what he will do. Ava is a sassy free spirited woman who speaks her mind freely. Can the King see past his long held expectations and accept Ava for who she truly is as well as her and Luc’s love?.

Ava was running a food truck business with her half sister in Seattle, when a random man approaches and demands to speak with her. She tells him he can wait in line like the rest of her customers but he decides to hang around and just watch her. On her break she approaches him to find out why he has been staring at her. He gives her his number and tells her to call him to find out more information.

Ava is curious and also a little attracted to the stranger named Luc, but when she ends up contacting him, she finds out something about herself and her mother that she never could have imagined. Now she is on her way to a country she has never heard of to meet her father and step into the life of a princess. Will she want to stick around and take up her new role or will she want to go back home to the life she knows. What happens when her and Luc act on their attraction to each other, especially when Ava ends up pregnant. Can they have a HEA.

I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

Excellent book. What girl would not want to be whisked away to a different country and find out she’s a princess. Not to mention the man who’s taking her away, is the most gorgeous man she’s ever seen, probably twice her age, but that didn’t matter to Ava. Luc knew he was in trouble when he first laid eyes on her. She was the spitting image of her mother, now he is to bring her to their small country and introduce her to her father the king. Things don’t go quite as planned, Ava is very disappointed in the father she thought she was meeting. Instead, she was meeting a very rigid king who just happens to be her father. Good thing she had the King’s right hand man, Luc, to help her through all of these changes. It was just amazing and intriguing to follow this couple as they try to make their way through a newfound love, which had to be kept a secret, and poor Eva having to try to live up to her fathers expectations. Luc finds himself right in the middle. An amazing book with a fantastic ending. I love the way the book stresses about how you just need to be yourself, and everybody, no matter how rigid can be open to change.

I loved "Royal Daddy"! The characters were so interesting and reading about how they stayed true to themselves while also learning to embrace the wonderful differences in others. KC Crowne wrote a wonderful book that exemplifies her skills as a writer.

Blue haired, tattooed Ava is happily working with her half-sister on her crab cake food truck in Seattle and finds out that she is a princess in a small European country. Imagine her surprise when she is convinced by Luc, her father the king's right-hand man, to go to Edoria to claim her crown.

There is fascinating conflict because Ava's father had ideas of what a princess should look like and act and that is quite different from Ava. Enter Luc and he helps Ava maneuver through the duties of a royal. Along the way, Luc and Ava develop a relationship and you will have to read the book to see what happens. I highly recommend that you do read this fantastic book.

Ava is a sassy but strong hardworking woman who goes not let people push her about but when Luc turns up at her food truck ordering her to go with him she tells him exactly where to go. Lucy's been tasked by his King to bring the Princess back home to his country only the the princess is Ava & she has no idea what Luc is talking about but agrees to go with him. When she goes home it's not the fairytale she was expecting more of a nightmare since her so called father the King wants become something she is not & is prepared to ruin her life as she knows it to mold her into the princess he wants. The only person Ava can rely on is Luc who have become closer leading to steamy times aswell but being he is the King's right hand man they can never be together. There are wonderful characters in this story well apart from the King but you can't help but want Ava to tell the King where to shove it.

I enjoyed this story, I am not normally into royal romances but I enjoyed this take on it. Luc and Ava have a great relationship and the connection they have is instant but you can see it building and growing over time.

The story is good and builds well. It is whimsical and fun a kind of grumpy sunshine romance with a heavy dose of be who you are and it will be okay

I wasn't overly keen on Luc having previously been in love with Ava's mum (which was obvious from the first meeting with him, but not actually confirmed - although hinted at until half way through), it was a little creepy how she was constantly brought up, but it fit well with the story and you can tell Ava and Luc had a deep connection outside of that, so it didn't dampen my enjoyment too much but if you aren't into that trope either, just to let you know to push through that.

A great age gap story. Ava is shocked to learn the father she has never known is a King and she is actually a Princess, a long throw away from working in her food truck. Ava travels to Edoria, to meet her father, the King along with his right hand, Luc, who she learns is also her fathers friend. Ava hopes to have a relationship with her father but quickly learns that her appearance and personality are not what he sees as fit for a princess. Whilst struggling to adapt to her new lifestyle, she gets support from Luc, however the electric chemistry between them can only be denied for so long. When the king finally thinks Ava is falling into line with the requirements of a princess, she shocks him, but even more so when he realises he has been betrayed by his friend. An enjoyable book with great chemistry, hot steamy passion and a lovely ending.

As Ava is working in her food truck a handsome older stranger, Luc, demands to speak with her. She soon find out Luc is there to bring her back to Edoriato meet her father and become crown princess.
This book is a fun and entertaining read with a bit of spice. It was absolutely hilarious reading how Ava with purple hair, tattoos, and a nose ring tried to fit the mold her conservative father had for the perfect princess. While the attraction between Luc and Ava happened instantly their bond grew because Luc was the one who has there for Ava as her life got flipped upside down. While there are so many reasons they shouldn’t be together, they both need and want each other. Even though most of the book is about Ava because, well, she is the princess, I also loved reading the character growth in Luc.

A Royal Romance

I loved how this story started in Seattle where we find Ava not knowing she has a secret past. She’s a princess and she never knew. The older Luc shows up to take her back to Eldora. And to finally meet her father. Immediately Luc has an attraction for the much younger Ava. The feeling is mutual. They don’t seem to act on their feelings until that one night after a hot shower and she sees the rugged man in just a towel. Wowsers.

The King is overbearing and very aloof. This means Ava spends more and more time with Luc. And once her father gets wind, there is a royal blowup.

The story has a whimsical quality to it. An American finding out she’s a princess is every little girl’s dream. And then there is the whole forbidden quality about falling in love with her father’s best friend. That gives you a wonderful HEA. And a very compelling story.

This was amazing! Edoria was so whimsical. Beautiful world building by KC. Luc was my favorite. He was kind of grumpy and so sexy. Ava brought out the smiles and laughter for him and I loved it. Ava was a total badass. I adored her. She was fierce and independent, but she was also sweet and loving. I loved how these two were so drawn to each other. The magnetism could be felt through the pages. These two together was just perfect. Alaric left a lot to be desired. I was glad for the changes in him in the end. Ava brought that castle back to life. Their ending was so good. I didn't want the book to end.

A young woman finds herself in a world like none she has ever known. Finding out she is a princess turned her world upside down. She had no remembrance of her father, the king. His ways of being Royal were like stepping back decades in time. Thanks to his closest friend and right hand man Ava finds a way to bring being herself into her role as a princess. Luc stole her heart from the time he showed up at her crab cake truck demanding to speak to her in an entitled demeanor. She shut him down but knew there was a magnetism that she felt. Through the twists and turns of her father demanding her etiquette lessons turn her into his version of a proper princess. Oh how fathers want their daughters to be perfect. An impossible role for every daughter.

Ava is a strong willed, independent woman who is thrown into a life that she is not accustomed to and struggles to find a balance after being told she comes from royalty. Luc’s a right hand man to the king, Ava’s father, and helps her get acclimated to royal life. The relationship between Luc and Ava is slow to start but it definitely gets steamy. Ava certainly becomes a fan of Luc’s teachings and their love for one another begins to blossom. Once they get over the little huddle that is Ava’s father, their life together can truly begin.
I am a huge fan of the Silver Fox Daddies series and this did not disappoint. Great job, KC Crowne!.

Love this book about Ava and Luc and you never know when you can go from owning a crab food truck to being a long-lost princess. Ava owns a crab food truck with her sister in Seattle and doing her own thing. One day Lucas shows up demanding to talk with her. Come to find out the father she never knew turns out to be a king of a small country. Luc is tasked to bring her back to become to rightful princess and heir. All this time she feels this pull to Luc and the amazing spark that they share. Will she confirm to be the princess her father wants? Will she continue to see where things go with Luc, seeing that he is older and her father right hand man? A great story is never complete without some ups and downs to get to a great ending.

This is an age gap accidental pregnancy romance that draws you in and keeps you turning pages that are filled with humor, lust, passion, desire, steamy sex, drama, confusion, doubts and wonderful banter. Ava is the missing princess of Edoria that has finally been located, Luc is the best friend and Right Hand Man to the King and has been tasked to bring Ava home to her Castle so she can groomed as princess and then future queen of her country. A Wonderful story I could not put down and the ending was amazing that just left you feeling happy. I highly recommend. Another book I’m so very happy to have in my reading library. I enjoyed the general story, it was entertaining but I just didn’t get the point in the H being in love with the h’s dead mother for YEARS, like what did it add to the story other than making me feel a bit icky? It didn’t add any angst because the h seemingly bordered between didn’t care and actually being quite pleased about it, sorry but if the guy I was sleeping with and falling for told me that he had been in romantic love with my mother for years and had been drawn to me in the first place because of the resemblance… I just…aaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAA

Also, not this guy taking the h’s virginity, blanking her for 2 weeks and the h is just like yeah that felt bad ANYWAY then everyone just moves on? Wot

Not even a little realist...

Even though this is fiction, I couldn't read anymore after chapter 14. A small country in between Switzerland and Austria their national language would be German, Southern German at that. There is a big difference in dialects. No small town in any the Alpine region would have such an English named town such as Westford. No small child in a small European town would not have first addressed a stranger so impolitely. ALL PEOPLE WOULD HAVE ADDRESSED HER PROPERLY. Guten Tag! Or Gruess Gott. Or. Even Alles Klar which is what a teen would say. I can't believe the writer wouldn't have done just a little research to make the illusion of a European country seem real. Very disappointing!

When a grunge Food Truck owner in the Pacific Northwest is tracked down by a gorgeous European man and told she’s a Princess she can’t believe it. Ava is convinced to leave her sister in charge of their crab cake business to meet her father the King whom she doesn’t remember but it’s his best friend Luc who captures her attention. Luc doesn’t know how to explain or refuse the purple haired, tattooed and nose-ringed beauty and chemistry grows too strong for them to resist. Great story. Love the message about individuality. Steamy.

This was such a sweet, fun book! Ava is working at her food truck in Seattle when Luc shows up and turns her life upside down. He reveals she's actually a princess and he's tasked with taking her back to her home country. While struggling to adapt to her new circumstances, sparks fly between Ava and Luc.

If you like grumpy-sunshine and/or dad's best friend you will love this book. Although it's part of the Silver Fox Daddies, it is a complete standalone with an HEA. KC Crowne is so good at have perfect amounts of humor, emotion, and steam. Her books never disappoint!.
