New Cambridge Mathematics aims to provide stimulating materials for young children that will help them become confident and successful at mathematics. The activities are designed to be used with the range of ability and development found in primary classrooms, to support national curricula throughout the UK and to be interesting and fun.Module 2 is for children aged 5 to 6. The core of the materials is the Teacher's resource book, which outlines activities that teachers can use to introduce all the mathematics the children need to cover, including support, extension, and review activities. The Resource sheets are photocopy masters of equipment, such as number lines, spinners and 100 squares, that will be invaluable throughout the year, as well as pupil sheets for support and extension activities and further work.
