De Kenyon is a writer and mom who lives near Denver, Colorado, in kind of a boring suburb, where she passes out horror books for kids every Halloween and has shelves full of weird crystals and skulls and one of those machines that you have to put in fifty cents every time you want candy. If you don’t want your black jellybeans, she does. The three neighbor kids next door think she might be a witch. She’s not a witch, but she keeps a scythe in the back yard just in case. She writes The Exotics series and weird short stories for kids. Her first short story collection is Tales Told Under the Covers: Zombie Girl Invasion & Other Stories.
This was the first story that I have read by DeAnna Knippling and I have to say I like her writing.
Have you ever forgotten to feed your animals? How about your pet rabbit (if you have one)? Well with this story I guarantee you won’t forget ever again. The story is about a girl who forgets to feed her rabbit and the consequences that happen.
This was a really well written short story and I couldn’t stop reading it. If you get freaked out by jumps and twists then this isn’t the story for you. However I really liked the story and trust me I haven’t forgotten to feed my cat since reading this, lol!
A kid's tale for those kids whose teachers often use air quotes when they describe them as 'a bit different'. This is a fun and quick story of the life and times of Nibbles, my kind of bunny. De Kenyon has a great sense of humor and style.
