I've been writing as long as I can remember and all of my stories always held a thread of romance (even when I was writing about a prince who could shoot lasers out of his eyes). I love creating unique characters, love giving them happy endings and I even love the voices in my head. There's no other job I would rather be doing. In September 2002, when I got the call that Silhouette Desire wanted to buy my first book, Desert Warrior, it was a dream come true. I hope to continue living the dream until I keel over of old age on my keyboard.
I was born in Fiji and raised in New Zealand. I also spent three years living and working in Japan, during which time I took the chance to travel around Asia. I’m back in New Zealand now, but I’m always plotting new trips. If you’d like to see some of my travel snapshots, have a look at the Travel Diary page (updated every month).
So far, I've worked as a lawyer, a librarian, a candy factory general hand, a bank temp and an English teacher and not necessarily in that order. Some might call that inconsistency but I call it grist for the writer's mill.
1-7 I wrote individual reviews for each story. But still, I am in love with this series. You get hooked up easily, there is a flow in the plot. You don't get bored or distracted. There are happy endings which are great, because I come to read to escape the harsh poop of life, I don't want to get frustrated more. Though, I won't say it's all fun, love and sarcasm in the stories, there are moments where you can bawl your eyes out, especially in Blaze of memory when Katya was dying and in the first story when Sasha wouldn't link to Lucas. The feeeels man!!! Then, there is raw, passionate love-making. Can give you ideas, pay attention grins. Plus, on a serious and frustrating note, you still don't know the identity of the rebel psy within the net, the notorious Ghost! I'll be devouring the remaining books in this series and I hope to God it's Kaleb. If its someone else, I will hyperventilate for hours.
Does this count for 2021 or for 2020? I read 1 - 6 at the end of October 2020, start of November... and only just finished #7. The collection was basically my "escape from reality" during the lead up to the November election. I was struggling with real-life, so I turned to a fake world filled with "Psy" people and Changilng... animals? People? Not entirely sure. If you like a bit of para-normal romance (I prefer historical... but, like I said, I needed something totally not real and not political), this was good fun. In fact, it actually kept getting better as I think Singh started to gain experience in her writing.
I fell in love with her books because of Anger Guild series ,but the transformation of the psy-changelings is everything and I'll redo this series as many times as I possibly can
I feel like I should apologize before reviewing these books because so many of my friend just love Nalini Singh, but they're like reading Sherrilyn Kenyon (with the exception of Acheron) for me, just sorta...well...ok, passable, acceptable, like making 89 in a class, almost there but not quite. No fall off the elliptical moments, but at least they provided me entertained enough to finish my 90 minutes 4x/week on Lucifer, my elliptical machine.
First I want to say I love this series. I've read them all this is the weakest.. I didn't like the hero or the heroine. the only saving grace was the catching up with the characters i've loved from the previous books.
