ABOUT THE AUTHOR. KARMA CHODEN's fascination with phallic symbols and the crazy wisdom associated with them started back when she had an opportunity to travel all over Bhutan. She saw phalli of all kinds and found the stories behind its symbolism intriguing. She decided that a book on the topic is long due to preserve the rich narrative. Karma worked for The Raven, a monthly Bhutanese magazine, and headed Kuzoo FM, a radio station based in Thimphu, Bhutan's capital.
