Twenty-Six Lies/One Truth was a fantastic... whatever it was. What was it, exactly? Interstitial fiction? A mosaic novel? Conceptual literary art? I guess the answer to those questions is... yes, it is, and probably many other things too. The book defies classification deftly and purposely; Peek's writing is incredibly clever, and he weaves the disparate elements of the book into something that's somehow greater than the sum of its parts. Always interesting and engaging, I really enjoyed finally reading it all these years after (a) buying it and (b) starting to read it (I got distracted, sorry Ben!). Definitely worth a read, especially if you're in the mood for something very different from the usual fare!
