The CMT Review Guide is the first and only resource currently available that follows the outline of the American Association for Medical Transcription's new Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) Exam. Every core content area of the CMT exam is topically addressed in this text. In addition to transcription standards and style, English language, medicolegal and privacy issues, and the healthcare record, The CMT Review Guide takes an organized approach to medical language by providing learning objectives and 50 review questions (30 in print, 20 on CD-ROM) for each major body system covered on the exam. With this systematic approach, the test candidate will gain the confidence and competency needed for successful exam preparation and performance. Prepare yourself for success with highlights like these—
I used this book to study for the CMT exam that I have taken and passed. The book served as a refresher of my past course study and current practical use of medical terminology/transcription. This book was written by the American Association for Medical Transcription (now Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity), and provides the information and tools needed to master the CMT exam. I found the review questions at the end of each chapter and the accompanying CD to be helpful. The sample reports and proofreading practice were also helpful. The CD, however, is not Windows Vista compatible.
