A paranormal erotic romance novel. Meet the supernatural masters of passion and seduction, feeding upon the erotic dreams and pleasure of humankind.
Ethan is an incubus, cast out of the covey by his succubus queen, after his actions directly led to the death of another incubus. He adopts the business of a dead man, and attempts to live as a mortal. When Ethan finds Madison, he knows he should just fly away and leave her to live a normal, human life. But the incubi are hive creatures, he struggles living alone, and allows himself to believe he might find love and happiness in the arms of this shy young woman. Meanwhile, the demonic creature hunting the incubi will not stop with the death of just one black-winged male, he seeks the destruction of Ethan's entire species. After Ethan leaves, the covey is attacked again, and half of the remaining brothers are destroyed, leaving only two surviving males to protect their succubus queen. It is not enough. The queen leads her mates in tracking down Ethan, hoping that the forsaken warrior might save them from starvation. It is a choice which will place the entire covey, as well as Ethan and Madison, directly into the path of the bloodthirsty monster hunting them.
This book contains explicit demon erotica and is intended for readers 18 years and older, there is strong language and explicit sexual encounters, including a steamy ménage scene near the end of the book. As the legends suggest, both incubus and succubus demons feed upon sexual energy stolen from sleeping humans. While this might suggest questionable consent, they are actually very generous and considerate lovers.

The oldest of nine children, I was tutored at home during childhood, first by my mother and then a German woman with a passion for science and history.
I could never find enough books to keep my mind busy, even with the vast library that my father kept. I wrote my first short stories around the age of nine, and was completing full length manuscripts by the age of twelve.
I left home around fourteen or fifteen, staying with family and friends among the western States. As the years passed I continued to read everything I could lay hands on.
In adulthood I began building towards a career in criminal justice, particularly criminal psychology. I received various certifications, awards and schooling in the field before discovering parapsychology and finding myself drawn into the mystery of the mind.
A received a PhD in Parapsychology but continued working towards a future in criminal justice until a car accident in 2005 left me with a traumatic brain injury and learning how to walk again in a swimming pool.
After two years of physical therapy I knew that my body was no longer capable of supporting the rigors of the career I'd chosen. Then, when my mother discovered some of my old manuscripts in her basement, I decided to try writing once more.
I've released a couple of romance novels I wrote as a youth, but have also published some more recently completed erotica.
I have a large harddrive full of unpublished stories and novels, some from childhood and some from more recent. I hope to eventually offer them on my website (if nowhere else) to let others enjoy watching a daydreaming little girl mature into adulthood - through her writing.
We've had them all: vampires, angels, werewolves and now.... . I like that, I like the whole idea around that specific species, how it came to be, even though lore about them defines them as something different, namely , but kudos to creativity. And that's sadly all there is. The whole explanation-thingy at the beginning would have been better if written in the same style than the whole novel, but I can live with that. Usually I don't mind jumping directly into action, but the first chapter is off the charts in a negative way that it made me cringe and wasn't hot at all. It makes the fMC look like a slut, and feels like getting bare genitalia slammed into my face without even knowing that I am in a sauna. You can't write such a chapter without giving the reader a chance to get to know the characters better, because I surely didn't identify with anyone at that point. Of course right then and there I was close to DNF, but since I was asked to read this for an opinion (not by the author) I followed through and it became way better. Still, there are some things left unexplained in a way that the book didn't feel finished or as if it was the first draft. And many scenes were just put behind each other without being smoothly entwined.
I give this one two stars because of the interesting idea, but that's it. The sex scenes were okay and interesting as well, but weren't enough to make up for the staccato story line and the cringe worthy start. And since the sequel isn't even about our MCs but the most unsympathetic character of this book, and even the other sequels doesn't sound that interesting I won't continue this series.
Okay let's talk covers oh man it's hot that's for sure. It's what drew me into read. Second it has succubus and incubi. I'm a big fan of stories like these. Now let's talk about Ethan shall we say dear god he is to hot and makes my panties melt. Hello I would love for him to invade my dreams and give me wonderful oral sex. Now if I Madison I would of been right up on him and done everything to be around him so he could seduce me. His grey eyes I would love to stare at all day long. Hell I would love to have those eyes on me all day and night. Let's just say this was a very hot read and something I didn't want to put down. I can't wait to read the next on in the series about kye. I hope it is as hot as this one. Cause towards the end the heat turned up even more for me and I was even like damn and fanning my own blushing face wow good writing thanks I really enjoyed this free read
This is the first title in a series from a very promising new author. Sizzling sex and fast moving adventures draw you in from the very beginning, and keep your attention to the very end. Watch out Stephanie Meyer, vampires might be the hot thing in YA books, but for a blazing adult novel I’d have to pick one of Celeste Hall’s incubi!
I like the premise of the story with its incubus angle. Having some knowledge on the subject, I was looking forward to reading something interesting and sexy...'Ethan' fell way short of my expectations. To begin, I did not see the disclaimer in the synopsis when I downloaded the book; if I did, I would have skipped it, as I am not a fan of menages and multiple partner stuff, even if incubi may get into it. I should have read the synopsis and disclaimer more closely, so I can't blame the author for my error in judgment. Anyway...I still didn't like the book: * Profuse use of the c and p words. (Trashy - not sexy at all) * Too many irritating editing issues, ie spelling, skipped/dropped words, clumsy sentences, etc. * Semi-boring sex scenes. * Weird plot issues...like when everyone is fearing for their lives in Ethan's kitchen, with danger approaching at any minute, the heroine's mind is consumed with wanting to jump Ethan's bones. I get it - he's a hot incubus. Still - I think the first thing in any woman's mind would be "Who or what is trying to kill us? And - Let's get the hell outta' here!" * A TSTL heroine...especially in the scene where she yells to a vampire "Stop, or I'll shoot!" Really? It's a vampire trying to kill your incubus/boyfriend, and he's coming after you next. To hell with a warning - roll up and bust a few caps! Ugh. I'm glad that this was a freebie. Deleting from my Kindle. I do like the cover though.
A vulnerable hero, part of a gregarious species, is exiled from his ‘covey’ to save the rest from the vampires that can wipe them out. Ethan is left with no choice but to join the human world as an incubus cannot survive alone. Madison is an interior designer who unwittingly becomes tangled in his life when he buys a house on an estate she works on. He knows he shouldn't encourage the desire she is fighting against, knows he should let her go but...
Who knew bedroom action could supercharge people? Fun escapism with emotional angst, fight scenes, a red hot hero and whew (wipes sweat from brow) sex scenes, which are integral to the plot rather than gratuitous. Curl up with a glass of wine ladies, you deserve a little me time.
Ok first of all. Wow! This was an incredible book. It's fun and sexy and the perfect way to escape into your dark fantasies. It just pulls on your heart strings. I love love love this book and defiantly recommend the whole series!
I have never read a paranormal novel about incubi and succubi, but this series is very different and interesting. I have placed book 2 on my wish list and hope to buy it soon.
Just... WOW!! This was completely different from what I usually read. But I have to say, it was really GOOD!!! I will have to look for more of Celeste Hall's books in the future!
This is about an incubus and a human woman. There’s also vampires. It’s a shorter story about 150 pages. The story was ok, but the sex scenes were pretty hot. I wasn’t expecting a 5 some at the end, but it was a hot surprise. This is a stand alone story, but part of a larger series with other stand alone wit other characters.
Wonderfully written fast pace I wish you continue success and I enjoy this book even though I don't usually read this kind of book. Nice D.H from New York City
Couldn't put it down Loved the characters, strong makes and believable females. I would recommend to anyone who likes one have just bought the next in the series
This was the first time I was reading a paranormal erotica, and also, I hadn’t had the opportunity to read Celeste’s work before, so as I picked up the book ‘Ethan’ I was a bit skeptical. However, ignoring a few minor flaws, overall the book was an interesting read. The book introduces different paranormal creatures like vampyren, incubi and succubi. Though it starts of a bit slow the story is a unique blend of passion and adventure, and for fantasy lovers it’s definitely worth reading.
The story revolves around two primary characters – Madison and Ethan. Madison is a regular girl-next-door, a bit shy and consumed in her profession. But when she meets Ethan a sense of desire arises, not only is she intimidated by him but also attracted toward him. But Ethan is unlike any other man, in fact, he and Madison are a world apart.
But it is not just Madison who feels the connection, Ethan too is drawn to her and tries to seduce her. I like the way Celeste has interpreted Ethan’s passion. How he tries to cope with his feelings and desires, but every logic seem to fail when it came to Madison. As I continued, I could get a slight taste of 50 shades of grey, especially how the connection between Ethan and Madison had been described.
The concept of love between a paranormal creature and a human is engaging. Though it has been previously introduced, but Ethan and Madison and their longing for each other definitely makes the readers cherish them. You can’t help but have a likeliness for the two characters.
On the other hand, the plot introduces another species, hunting down incubis and killing them. It comes down to the queen, and to other succubis and Ethan to save their species. Amidst different twists and turns, different characters are introduced. I would have liked if the author had explained a bit more of the characters. Aleyth, the queen was quite an amusing personality. Kye and Liam also help to add spark to the story. The storyline was vibrant and fast paced but could have been more entwined.
In the end, the drama and the mystery is paired well in the story. The seductive scenes are well described and if you are looking for an erotica you won’t be disappointed. The perspective of these paranormal creatures is compelling. However, the book fails to leave a lasting impression. I personally, felt the storyline could have been more developed. Overall, it was a decent novel and will be enjoyed by fiction lovers.
I'm holding my hand up and saying I loved this. Paranormal romance/smut! Just what the doctor order for a wet, foggy camping trip! This is surprisingly well written and has only a small few editing mistakes that you expect from Kindle freebies. I think I'll be forking out for the rest of the series! Reader beware, gets very steamy at the end!
This book is really good. Well written, interesting characters and loads of action and suspense. The whole idea of a succubus was entirely new to me. It all got a bit raunchy in the end but overall I enjoyed this book a lot.
Perfectly naughty but with a very good storyline. I absolutely adore Ethan and the way he defended and chose Madison throughout, especially at the end. Action, romance and the right amount of suspense. I will try Kyle's story next. Recommended.
Well I will have to say I enjoyed this book emmensely....it was hot in all the right places...definitely read more of this Authors book....thanks also to the Author Celeste Hall for doing what you do for us readers....:)
Definitely a story I wasn't expecting. I enjoyed it a lot and am glad to have found a series about a different night creature. Looking forward to the next one!
