But once she learns that Sebastian holds the answers to her past, can the truth be the missing link into freeing her soul and igniting a passion so tempting Sebastian and Jonah can't resist? [Ménage Amour: Erotic Paranormal Ménage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, werewolves, bondage, public exhibition]
Morgan Fox is a Siren bestselling author of the highly addictive Moonlight Shifters and Men of Iron Horse series. With 21 titles available, now is your chance to discover a 'NEW' author with a memorable voice.
Whether you're interested in contemporary romance with irresistible men and strong women or paranormal romance where world building and powerful creatures lurk, you will have a place to get swept away while you fall in love with these alluring characters.
Two sexy werewolves and a female with magical powers who has all their attention make for a sexy romp.
Jonah and Sebastian are werewolves in love and lust with the same female. Brie Ferguson is that female. She feels deeply connected to the brothers in more ways than one. Her lust and her desire for them both is as important as the air she breathes. The brothers feel the same deep connection and find it hard when parted from her as well. Enter part of the conflict. Sebastian has gone off and left Jonah and Brie in search of Mason Levi who had tried to kill her. Brie is trying to find out what she is and what makes her different. All of this happens with her being in mating heat. Which makes everything else more complicated.
While Sebastian heads out to find Mason Levi so that he cannot get their mate, Jonah is left to guard Brie. Their connection is just as potent as the one that Brie has with her Alpha male Sebastian, but at the same time not enough. She needs them both. There are a myriad of characters and personalities within this book which at times makes it a little hard to follow. But. Each character is an intricate part of the story as a whole. I think that perhaps it is because the author has plans for more in the series and with as much information that was offered, there should be more to the series.
I liked Jonah and Sebastian, though at times the jealousy that was displayed made me wonder if their menage would work. In the end Morgan Fox showed that it could and would. I did want to see more with the conflict of Mason Levi and I am not sure it was given enough 'play time'. I feel that part of the plot was dragged out and not completed to my satisfaction. Though in saying that, it does go back to the fact that it seems the author is working towards a sequel and perhaps will answer it then. I hope so. The satisfactory HEA (Happy Ever After) I usually look for to me is a HFN (Happy For Now), because of the loose ends. In the long run, I wanted the three main characters to be together and rooted for them and was happy when they were.
Otherwise the world that Morgan Fox built was intricate and very interesting. I found myself liking the different personalities and how they interacted with one another. Three in particular caught my eye and that would be Reyes, Dominic and the female Dr. Shaw. There is something there between them all that the author touches on. Can't wait to see it. I will be looking for more from her and hope to have all my questions answered.
Four stars for the hot lovemaking, excellent public exhibitionism and varied characters.
What should have been new engagement bliss, is anything but, for Brie and her mates Sebastian and Jonah. With Sebastian now on the hunt for Brie's mutant stalker and the answers to her mysterious past, Brie suffers through the pleasurable business that is the mating heat alone with Jonah. If not for his constant 'distractions' to the loneliness that plagues her by Sebastian’s absence, Brie wouldn't have survived. Jonah feels blessed to have the one-on-one opportunity to show Brie his true feelings for her. It may never happen again and he takes full advantage of every moment, but he also knows that Brie won't ever feel complete happiness until Sebastian is back with them. It is only when Sebastian returns can their life truly begin. However, the return of Brie's beloved Alpha is not a happy one. Sebastian is different and their reunion is fraught with more questions than answers. Sebastian’s behavior changes aggressively with each passing moment and his desire for Brie turns dangerous leaving Jonah to entrap his brother in order to protect Brie at all costs. Sebastian holds the answers to many questions including what happened to him and the key to stopping it, but things have gone too far and the only things on his mind now are murder, mayhem, and his mate. Brie must learn to trust instinct over self-preservation and that of both her mates wishes in order to save them all.
Emotions run high and are all over the place in this second installment to the Moonlight Shifters series. Finally there is some light shed on what exactly Brie is and what she was always meant to do, but first she must get through a bucket load of insecurities. She consistently doubts her mates intentions where she is concerned and an old flame of Jonah's returns, which leaves her wondering if she is enough for both of them. To top it off her powers are continually increasing and without thought of how to control them. After a while I found Brie to be a bit annoying and lacking that independent attorney attitude she had in the first book. However, there were plenty of intriguing secondary characters introduced that seem to be more alpha in attitude than even our main characters. Looking forward to getting to know them more as the series continues.
I should mention there is a scene of dubious consent, but it's short lived and quickly forgotten as the story moves quickly between scenes of intense sex and shocking revelations. The ending is a happy one, but incomplete as the overall arc of the storyline continues to develop. The next story is definitely a must-read since the enemy is still on the loose and a wedding still needs to be planned. For any reader looking for an erotic shifter series, this one deserves to be read.
Book 2 of the series pretty much picks up where book 1 left off. Brie and Jonah and together while Sebastian has gone off to look for Mason Levi. Brie is not happy with Sebastian's choice of leaving her and eventually the separation from him gets to be too much. They travel to the McCarthy Ranch and only to realize that something's not quite right. Sebastian is different and they soon realize that he's been infected with the same virus that the crazy Mason Levi has. They call on their friends for help to capture Sebastian in the hopes that they can cure what is wrong with him.
This is when the story gets interesting because new characters are introduced. One of them is Reyes, Sebastian's best friend and I knew the minute he appeared on the page I knew I was going to like him. The other is Dominic, the best friend of Jonah and there is an underlining tension between the two of them. Dominic knows all about Jonah's wild past and Jonah doesn't want Brie to know anything. But Brie is smart enough to figure it out on her own and when another new character enters the picture, she puts 2 and 2 together regarding the relationship between that person and Jonah. Megan is a doctor that is called on to make a vaccine for the virus inside Sebastian's body. She has a past with Jonah and Brie picks up on it right away. But Jonah makes it known that he is a taken man and in love. Megan understands and is there to do her job. I liked her character and can't wait to see what Morgan Fox has in store for her character. There are little hints here and there that we'll be reading more about Megan and some of the other characters. We also get the chance to read more about Ryken and Luken, twin werewolf cousins to the McCarthy brothers that we met previously in book 1. They are hilarious and bring comedy to the book to even out the serious nature of Sebastian's sickness. I'm hoping we get to read more about them as well in the future.
The combination of great characters as well as smoking hot sex scenes make book 2 even more enjoyable that the 1st one! Brie gets the opportunity to learn more about what she is exactly and I'm pretty sure it's going to be a huge issue in the future books in the series. I'm onto book 3 in the series Enticed by the Moon to read more about the characters and am sure that the series gets even more enjoyable!
Lawyers by day and werewolves by night, Sebastian and Jonah McCarthy are two sexy brothers who happen to share the same mate, Brie Ferguson. When Brie gets stalked and almost killed by the diseased shape-shifter she brought to trial for conviction of multiple murders, alpha-leader Sebastian will not rest until he discovers what it is about his lovely mate that makes her special and what it is that has infected her stalker.
Even living with one of her delicious mates Jonah, soon the mating heat becomes unbearable for Brie as she misses her other mouth-watering mate Sebastian. When Brie finally has her reunion with Sebastian, she soon discovers that Sebastian is now also infected with the disease of her stalker. Even as Brie is learning her super-natural powers, can she find a way to heal her mate Sebastian and save them all?
This is the second book in the “Moonlight Shifters” series and the conclusion of the adventure between characters Brie, Sebastian and Jonah. Neither of these books stands alone well, and I strongly suggest reading them together.
Morgan Fox has hit on a very exciting series with her books thus far in the “Moonlight Shifters” saga. I was totally engrossed in this book to the point that I had trouble putting it down. The love scenes were extremely hot. I am anxious for the next book in this series to be released as I am now completely hooked.
I discovered more detail in this book as to the type of shifter our villain is. I was anxious to discover the gift that Brie was born with and how it also affects the future of this romance-thriller. The secondary characters were lively and interesting and I am waiting to see if perhaps their love matches will also be revealed in future installments. I feared the infect-able disease and it's possible affects. This clearly made the story exciting and involving. Also the fantasy of having two exciting mates all to yourself? Wow.
I advise you not to "moon" over the fact that you have not found a good werewolf story in awhile, because this book might just be what you're searching for. But remember, what makes this book truly adventurous are the steamy love scenes.
This was good. It worked as a standalone book, but I could tell there was some back story that I would have been up on if I'd read the first in the series. The plot stood by itself but carried forward an arc from the first book and left it so that additional books in the series could follow. The paranormal element in the book, werewolves, lead to some great alpha male characters. I think I would have liked more description about the change from human form to were form in this mythology, but I got the concept. And the steamy/smokin' elements were as advertised and thoroughly enjoyable. It was a really fast read for me. I think maybe 2 to 2.5 hours, but good escapism. I'd look for the next in the series when it becomes available.
As soon as I finished Seduced by the Moon I literally jumped into this one wanting..no needing to know what would happen. This series is incredibly sexy and I am so glad I got introduced to this series. A MUST MUST READ!! Can't wait to get my hands on the other books in this Moonlight Shifter Series.
A wonderful story of 3 lives. Brie, Sebastian and Jonah are Mates. With the virus slowly destroying Sebastian, what will they do to save him. A must read story
