I bought this when the authors were at Kate’s Mystery Books in Cambridge MA. I’m sorry it’s taken so many decades to get around to reading it. By now it reads as even more of a historical novel, though solidly in the crime genre. I wish the authors had included a discussion of the impetus for writing this book and the research that went into it.
