I enjoyed looking at the pictures and reading the little passages about them. This is a really easy read that can be finished in a day. It's a good source to flip over if you need a review over this decade. The only thing that would have made this book better is if the pictures were in chronological order.

Great book, incredibly interesting. 10 out of 10 would recommend for anyone interested in peering into the oft forgotten or overlooked societal tumult and upheaval that was the 1970s. I did doc it a star only because the book is too small. The content deserves a larger format.

I was given this by a colleague several years ago. I had looked through it several times, but just now read the whole thing cover to cover.

It is decidedly British. Pop culture of the 1970s would certainly include Evil Knievel. Not here.

Nevertheless, this is a pretty good overview of word events in the 1970s. The reader is reminded that modern-day terrorism began during that decade.

And I hold to my long held contention that no one looked good in 1970s-era fashion. :)

If you want a quick review of the 1970's, then pick up this book, filled with black/white photos of the era and short descriptions it is a nice way to look back at this time in history. While going through this book, I realized that a lot of the issues we are dealing with today, oil spills, wars and such haven't changed in all those years. I guess humanity hasn't learn from their mistakes after all.
