Joyce Meyer is a New York Times bestselling author and one of the world's leading Bible teachers. Through Joyce Meyer Ministries, she teaches practically and candidly, openly sharing her experiences and helping millions of people to apply biblical principles to their situations and ultimately find hope and restoration through Jesus Christ. Her book Battlefield of the Mind has been a perennial bestseller, teaching people how to win the war in their minds and “think about what they think about.”

Joyce’s Enjoying Everyday Life program is broadcast to millions worldwide in 114 languages. She has also authored over 150 books, which have been translated into over 170 combined languages, including Battlefield of the Mind, which has sold over 7 million copies across the globe. We’ve also distributed over 43.5 million books around the world.

A survivor of childhood sexual abuse, Joyce discovered how to overcome the emotional pain of her troubled past and experience true joy, hope, and healing by applying God’s Word to her life. Her passion is to help others do the same. For more than 40 years, Joyce has held conferences across the United States and around the world, teaching God’s Word and sharing the message of Christ with millions. Joyce also encourages millions each day through social media and online efforts and resources at joycemeyer.org

Joyce’s passion to help people who are hurting is the foundation of Hand of Hope, the missions arm of Joyce Meyer Ministries. Each year, Hand of Hope provides millions of meals for the hungry and malnourished, installs freshwater wells in poor and remote areas, provides critical relief after natural disasters, and offers free medical and dental care to thousands through their hospitals and clinics worldwide. Through their Project GRL initiative, they rescue women and children from human trafficking, provide safe places where they can receive an education and nutritious meals, and seek to let all girls everywhere know they are loved and valued by God.

In 2023, Joyce founded Hope Mountain Ranch, an 800-acre refuge in Mount Pleasant, Utah. Inspired by her own personal journey, Hope Mountain Ranch is a place where people can experience the transformative power of God and find hope and healing. It also serves as the hub for Joyce Meyer Ministries’ outreaches across the United States.

The book was used as a point of discussion in our Bible study group/life coaching group. I enjoyed reading it so much because it spoke to me every time I read it. It has taught me a lot of things on how to act and deal with myself and others in a better manner. It also brought me to a deeper relationship with God. This book is truly life changing. I would recommend it again and again to others and would definitely want to read it again and again in the future.

This book was truly life changing for me. I bought it at a garage sale and tried to read it that day. I found it just wasn't interesting and shelved it. A couple of years later I pulled it off the shelf at a completely different time in my life when God was showing me things about Women's Ministry at church. All off a sudden, the book spoke in a big way into my life. It has many wonderful points to follow to learn what it's like and what needs to be accomplished to be a leader. A great read!

I've already read this one once before. But, like all Joyce Meyer's books, I find I get something new and relevant to my current situation when I re-read them. I've been thinking about what it means to be a leader lately and have seen some really bad examples in the "real world." I really don't believe a person has to be so ruthless, self-centered, or self-serving to get ahead or to influence (in other words "control") people. I need a different perspective.

I really needed to read this book. It reminded me of Max Lucado books on leadership. I was in a position where I had to run the entire office.

An encouraging book for those called to leadership, especially those who didn't necessarily view themselves as a leader initially. It's also a great book for those already leading.

I liked this one, but as I don't believe that everyone is meant to be a leader, it wasn't exactly helpful.

Excellent guide/reinforcement along my path. I find that the content in this book is applicable across all life paths, and in all environments. I find myself revisiting certain parts to refresh myself and gain traction when I feel myself slowing down.

I’ve never been so fond of Christian religion superstars. Joyce Meyer is one of them . She is super popular and is still operative, with no major allegations that could compromise her character. So I decided to give it a try.

If you are not a Christian, you are probably going to give one star to this work. It’s “super biased “ - hahaha - on Christian beliefs. Since Joyce is explicitly mentioning the Bible to justify the book title, it will take this work to be analyzed not only as a a self help book, but if the theology in it is fine. Well… no problem with that… the book deliver what its meant for to a Christian audience. In the end, it’s a common self-help book with an acceptable theological background, making it a delightful experience to read if you are inside “christianity”.

The author will offer some passages and hints from her personal life, which I particularly don’t like (so much in a book) and adapt it to the Bible and the purpose of the book, so you can “look for the leader inside you” giving the many biblical leaderships mentioned.

Many of the advices are valid and helpful for your everyday life , even if you are a pastor , priest or just trying to become a better guide in your home or family… maybe for a greater purpose , who knows.

Taking away what I relate as some unnecessary personal experiences, that could make the reading a lot deeper in the author’s understanding of Christianity (and deeper for the audience) , the narrative is fresh. Giving the fact it’s written by a female leader, it can provide different views on the subject, leading to a very helpful understanding of leadership in a wider perspective.

She said "gifts are given but character is developed." It shows how we can't rely on our talents alone. I can relate to some of the negative conditions of the heart. I've been struggling with being insensitive towards others and she said "we must be tender towards people and tough towards the devil". I liked how she emphasized that leaders experience some periods of loneliness because we have been called to set apart. This was refreshing to me because I feel lonely sometimes on my spiritual journey.

Compared with other books on the same biblical leadership genre, then this book maybe rather lacking. But this book viewed leadership as a matter of heart. What's not and what's leaders heart is. The book closed with leaders trial, need to test and temper leaders.

Está enfocado a lo que in líder debe hacer con sus emociones cuando se presentan situaciones incómodas o desafiantes, lo que me parece sumamente útil considerando que nuestras emociones y sentimientos nos controlar la mayoría de las veces ¡Me encantó!.
