Lots of sex. It pretends to have a story but it doesn’t. It’s lacking in plot and characters.

STORY BRIEF:
Iain is a college history professor. One of his classes is about the myth of vampires. He claims they don’t exist. He is a vampire and also a dhampir. He is able to take psychic energy from others instead of drinking blood to sustain himself.

AnnaBelle is a vampire hunter who lives in Paris. Her uncle Fauster asked her to come to New York to help him with a film he invented which identifies vampires by showing their auras. He asks her to attend Iain’s class and take pictures of the students afterwards to see who may be vampires. She attends the class. Iain is drawn to her. He asks her out for a drink. She goes with him to his apartment and they have sex. The next day AnnaBelle discovers Fauster is missing and someone took his film and research files.

REVIEWER’S OPINION:
It seemed the author’s mind wandered off her plot and didn’t complete her thoughts – as if the author was in a dream. I never saw anything to do with AnnaBelle being a vampire hunter. If she had talents or special abilities I didn’t know what they were. She appeared to be a normal human. I didn’t see anything about Iain getting psychic energy from others. Information and story about Fauster’s film and files wasn’t finished. I didn’t know who stole them, why, and what they were going to do with the stolen items. I needed to know more about Fauster being with Simon and not letting AnnaBelle know. Simon’s motives and role in the story weren’t explained. There is vague mention that Fauster was playing matchmaker, but not enough was shown about that. There was a break up that was vague. I didn’t see the reasons for leaving and returning. There was one dream early in the story, but it didn’t justify the title of the book.

This is Ellora’s Cave, so I expected a lot of erotic sex which it had. The sex was ok, but not above average as to hotness and sensuality.

Short story about a halfling gay vampire. The last chapter should have been left out.
Typo: "Welcome! A man...called to me."

Stupidest Vampire story ever written. The romance was lame and awkward. Horrible book. Do not recommend.

Couldn't get into into it. The writing seemed stilted. Didn't finish.
