I am teaching a crime unit with my 8th graders who are a low level group. I figured this easy read would entice them with their own crime project and also get them to read a nonfiction genre. The book is written well with captions, photos/graphics, and understandable language-even with definitions for common law terms. The chapters of information were short making it easy for me to use the book for a quick five minute read aloud.
