"Read to me!" is a popular request parents hear from their children. How better to fulfill this wish than to read a Bible storybook written and illustrated just for kids? The award-winning Read Aloud Bible Stories series has delighted children, parents, and teachers for decades. Written by Ella K. Lindvall and illustrated by Kent Puckett, these timeless stories of the Bible are retold in clear, simple language children will enjoy and understand. And parents will appreciate the care taken to simplify the stories without sacrificing any accuracy. Perfect for reading aloud or for early readers themselves, Read Aloud Bible Stories are a great way to ingrain God's truth into your child's heart early on. Plus, the 'What Did You Learn?' page at the end of every story helps children understand how God's Word applies to them today. Volume 4: Joseph and His Brothers The Baby in the Basket Joshua and the Big Wall David and the Biggest Man Jonah and the Big Fish

Elliot loves these storybooks. We have read all five volumes now and he has enjoyed them all. He is really into David and Goliath, so we’ve been reading that one a lot. The illustrations are simple, but very large, which is perfect for toddlers
This series is the best Bible stories for toddlers we've read so far. This one has some minor problems with a few application questions, but the illustrations are much better than volume 3 and my just about 17 month old adores these books.
Great retold Bible stories for toddlers. Has my toddlers begging for more stories each night.
This is a collection of roughly 6-7 Bible stories in each volume. The drawings are cute, and often the facial expressions make me chuckle while reading.
This is the all-boy edition! Girls can benefit, too, but this is an especially great gift for little boys as each story features a boy figuring out his relationship with God.
SERIES REVIEW: This is an excellent series. Some of the tools used to engage children (step, step, step, step when people are walking) are a bit repetitive to adult readers throughout the series, but the children seem to love hearing them over and over. Other positives include Lindvall's ability to bring children and childlike perspectives center stage in familiar Bible stories, as well as the "What did you learn?" section that reinforces principles presented. An added bonus is the series is intriguing for babies all the way through young readers. We own the entire series and give them as gifts. Highly recommended.
Age Range: 3 & up These stories are really meant to be read aloud – they are full of onomatopoeia and questions. At the end of each story, there is a “What did you learn?” section that encourages discussion. The illustrations are simple and the story is detailed enough to give the reader the whole picture without getting too confusing.
