There's a lot of good information in this text, but I think it suffers from trying to be both a textbook and a book where Jones advocates for certain approaches. Unlike works that focus on a specific method or philosophy for classroom management, this book reads much more diffusely. It does not help to see lists with over a dozen items, all strategies designed to help in the classroom. I often felt overwhelmed, with not a lot of overriding principles to help me navigate the material.
