Loved this book!

I love this author. Her imagination, her style and her ability to keep you interested and on your toes from the first word to the last. Her descriptions put you right there, her characters you would argue you know personally and the storyline gets you hooked and so involved you are actually muttering encouragement and at times expletives especially at Clark (read and you'll understand). Brilliant. Radclyffe at her best. Enjoy!

I enjoy the continued development of the relationships between the amazing women. Each couple is at a different stage. You’ve got Dell and Sandy just getting started, Rebecca and Catherine moving in together, and Sloan and Michael happily married. We learn more of Dell’s past and that she has a twin! The team gets recognized for the bust they had. Things are finally starting to come together and the reasoning and leaks that lead to the deaths of Jimmy and Jeff as well as the hit on Sloan are becoming clear. I loved how Rebecca stood up for Sloan when Avery wanted to interrogate her. Also I love how Watts has finally found a love interest. They have another major break and take down at the end. Rebecca is hurt again! Sandy says it perfectly when she is comforting Dell, Frye is the glue that holds the group together.

(From 2005) This is #4 in the Justice series and takes up immediately after Justice in the Shadows. The team led by newly promoted Lieutenant Rebecca Frye and is ready to figure out the bigger picture from their latest pornography ring bust. They also need to know who is helping from the inside. I love Frye and girlfriend Dr. Catherine Rawlings. They are fully committed in their relationship with Rawlings wanting them to live together. The other couples have moments too but Sandy and Detective Dell Mitchell are prominent with Mitch going undercover. The police work is procedural with a mix of going interviews, going through computer files, undercover work and a lot of luck. Considering the story is 17 years old it ages well. I found the book exciting and interesting. My copy of the book is just over 300 pages making it a longer than others in the series and giving time to get the case wrapped up.

Love this series

The books keep getting better or maybe I’m just loving this series. Each couple is such a great story and match. I’m really liking Dell and Sandy and waiting to see what happens. Great balance between the lives and jobs.

So I'm making my way through the Justice series. I love Radclyffe. I love these characters. While this book certainly moves the investigation along, there still isnt much character movement. Sloan and Michael are one dimensional at this point. Dell and Sandy are very cute and I feel that pair has a lot of promise for the next book. Catherine/Rebecca bother me the most. They should be discussing their issues and setting some relationship rules and boundaries instead of having so much sex. There is the real issue of Rebecca either not coming home or leaving in the middle of the night for work. The previous book showed them trying to work through that a bit. But this book settled on Catherine accepting it unconditionally and rewarding Rebecca with lots of sex. That is no way to sustain a relationship and I would like to see Rebecca compromise a bit. At the end, Rebecca tells Catherine that she would quit if she could, but she can't. Catherine accepts that. I want to scream to Rebecca that she doesn't have to quit but she can change the long hours and after hours activities if she is committed to giving Catherine some of what she needs. Very frustrating. Now on to the final book I the series!

Ooh baby, I'm hot just like an oven
I need some lovin'
And baby, I can't hold it much longer
It's getting stronger and stronger

And when I get that feeling
I want sexual healing
Sexual healing, oh baby
Makes me feel so fine

These are words from the Marvin Gaye hit song from 1982. This was all I could think about while reading this book. There are people who are in need of healing (physical and emotional) and it seems the only way for them to heal is sexual healing.

And honey I know you'll be there to relieve me
The love you give to me will free me
If you don't know the thing you're dealing
Ohh I can tell you, darling, that it's sexual healing

Rebecca and Catherine are very interesting characters. And their growth feels really natural. Building the trust and love.

But the Mitch idea is so not my thing. And Mitchell was getting on my nerves a lot sane goes to Sandy. They were cool but also annoying in a childish way.

Michael feels dormant. In A Matter of trust, she had grit. But now, even Watts has more grit than her. I can't wait to know how the story folds.

I love Sloan, I love Michael, I love Mitchell, I LOVE Cathrine and I LOVE REBECCA.
I am in denial that I only have one book left in this series
I don't want to believe that one day I won't have any more books to read of my cop babies.

This book was soo angsty even for an angst wh*re like me.
And it was just as good as any other one in the series.

So many intimate scenes that are written so beautifully and carefully, never getting redundent or boring. The book keeps feeding you amazing spice and angst and intimacy and lesbianism. Wow.
Every scene of Rebecca, even the mere mention of her between passages, makes me want to gag, because I love that woman so fucking much.

I love my cop babies. I love them so much. Right now they're family to me.

The investigations incredible climax

“You’re not defined by what you’ve had to do to survive. Nor by the mistakes that you may have made.”

“Sometimes the choices we’re forced to make take us to the place we wanted to be all along.”

“Relationships certainly do bring our hidden fears rushing to the surface, don’t they?”
“Being in love definitely does.”

An intriguing series continues with another good, entertaining story with interesting characters & hot sex scenes extremely well written… What's gonna come next?

It made me smile, made me cry, made my heart ache & made me hopeful riding the emotional rollercoaster as we follow the investigation to its finale, scared & desperate for all our beloved characters to each get their HEA they so deserve!!

Slow build up from the first book but it keeps getting better .
It also amuses me how many orgasms I have read so far in the book.
I thoroughly enjoy the maturation of relationships between the different characters; overall a good story. Hoping and looking forward for more

Also Radclyffe’s imagination is totally delectable. Praise

I Recommend this series

I recommend this series. There's action, love stories between the characters very enjoyable read. The characters are well developed strong women and the love they share. Oh yes and two male team members. This is very good read. Thanks for another winner.

Very disappointing. I couldn't seem to follow who was who. Too many women with male names, how was the whole task force (with one exception) either lesbian or a crossdresser? How was one of the detectives (??) already in love with an active prostitute that she had been "seeing" for about a week? I just couldn't read more. Too much nonsense for me.

No cop would ever fall in love with a hooker. And Rebecca is the worst cop she's been shot twice in six months, Jesus she needs to get it together. What's with all the girlfriends being so docile and fucking whiny like get it together. I dunno this one annoyed me more than the others.

Fast paced - I would have finished in a night if my eyes weren't so terrible!
I am so attached to this group of characters - but so invested I cannot let the next book linger.
Thrilling plot, sexy relationships, very queer. LOVED it!

This series, like the Honor series, just moves too slowly. Not enough is accomplished, plot wise, with each installment. It's so frustrating.

This series by Radclyffe is amazing. The characters are so well put together. The storyline is immensely interesting. Almost a shame there is only one more book left.

Overall this is a good series. However, I could go without so much sex. I get it’s a way to connect but there’s other ways to get intimacy and the sex scenes seemed redundant

My obsession with this genre has led me to make a New Years resolution where I must read a different book in between every romance novel so I can maintain street cred. Thank you for your support
