This is a beautiful little book of reflections by gay men who are in love with each other.

Each reflection is different and includes prose, poetry, memos, thoughts and so on. Each couple is very different from the man who married his housekeeper (Richard Labonte and Asa Dean Liles) to the couple who loved and lived together and then loved and lived apart, to the couple who have 30 years between them. (Revd Malcolm Boyd and Mark Thompson)

Thirty years!!

And yet they made it work until the older man (Revd Malcolm Boyd) died just this year at the age of 91.

What a life story!

What a life long love!

And all of this real life, empowering love is captured by simple words, notes, thoughts. Just so amazing.

I bought this out of curiosity because it includes one of my favourite authors but reading it has led me to writings and lives of so many others and I feel touched and moved and full of hope because this little book shows how real love can be. It isn't easy as these writings show but it is possible.

Where there is love there is hope.
