This book is given to each new member of my cancer support group and is probably the best devotional book for women dealing with cancer. Each devotional is written by a cancer survivor or patient and includes a key Bible verse, a prayer, a "Today's Tip", and prayer references for further Bible reading. Some authors are well-known, others are ordinary, next-door grandmothers, moms, and daughters.

This is a beautiful compilation of the writings of many women who’ve battled various types of cancer. Each day includes scripture, a short reflection on how the writer experienced care and love during her cancer journey and a prayer. I felt like every time I opened this book it was exactly what I needed to hear.

I LOVED this book. It may have a lot to do with my wife being diagnosed with colon cancer and two weeks ago having surgery, now we meet our oncologist next week ... but in that journey God has given us peace and assuredness that He is in control. Still, we are human and emotions come and go and we may have that peace tested. I have already purchased a copy of this book and gifted it to my wife so she can be encouraged during upcoming treatment. Reading this myself, helped me to more closely tune in to some of the thoughts and feelings she has or will experience - but many of them I too had already experienced, so it was like sitting down with a friend, or many friends who have faced cancer in the face and survived. You'll have a few moments to laugh, whether reading about Pink Panther movies, or chemo crotch pantyhose (to go under the wig)... or the encouragement that the Big C (Christ) has already beaten the Little c (cancer), or that when arms are spread during chemo sessions it can be a reminder of what Jesus did for us on the cross. For the women telling their stories in this book, cancer was not a comma but a period in the sentences of their lives and that was because of their faith in Jesus who lives in their hearts. The final word is an encouragement to invite him in for those who haven't - making this book a great gift for any friend who may be facing this battle whether they already are a believer or not. An advance copy of this book was made available through NetGalley with no commitment for a positive review.

#Praying Through Cancer# by Susan Sorensen is a book for cancer patients. Cancer is a hard diagnosis for people to face. This book shows the reader that they are not alone. This book draws you back to the anchor , Jesus who can strengthen and give you hope during the difficult days. This book is written for 90 days. This book uses scripture and prayer to guide you through your cancer. This book is personal, real during your hard trial. This book is written by people who have faced cancer like Kay Warren. Pat Palau , Barbara Johnson,
Joyce Wright. The cancer patient will be helped by hearing what others have gone through. Thank you to netgalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read and review this book.

A must read for those who's life was interrupted by cancer

Powerful stories shared by women who are in the battle of fighting cancer. On the dark days of this journey it was a blessing to be able to read others thoughts and fears and I know I wasn't alone in my own. These stories helped me to remember God is in control and my relationship with Jesus only grew deeper as I leaned on Him for strength.

A sweet book of daily devotionals focused on living through cancer that my mom was given. The contributors were genuine in both the ugly of cancer but the beauty found within the struggle, as they seek God through it all.

90 days worth of personal stories by women who've gone through cancer and treatment. Each day includes scriptural support for the day's story. I've kept a journal, writing out each verse given. On so many days, it was just what I needed to hear! Helpful encouragement from God's Word!
