2.5 stars. It was ok. At times the story was a tiny bit slow. Their chemistry was believable but I didn't think the description of their errr "coupling" was hot. What I mean is the words /passages when they got together didn't set me on fire or anything. It just seemed a bit lacking. Also since this is a harlequin American romance its a bit more modern meaning you see the word "Condom" bounced around and the h isn't some innocent virgin . Still I liked the H/h. But i was a tad disappointed that the h was so dead set against reviving her Hollywood career. I think she could have succeeded if she really wanted to. I found this book because I was searching for older man younger woman romance and the title seemed to allude to that. However the age gap isn't really that bad. H is 39 and h is 28. There were some funny moments in the book but all in all though it was a pleasant read it was just an alright - eh/nice /leaning to a little blandness book to me. Guess I'm too used to those harlequin presents where H/h have Super drama to the max. I liked that there was an epilogue. This looks to be part of a series and I thought the same author wrote the others but turns out it wasn't.

What a feel-good story. I nearly died laughing when I was reading page 219. Phoebe and Wyatt are in the midst of an argument and it doesn't look too good for their romance when this happens:

"How do you and your mother manage to get your
hair exactly the same shade? It's uncanny."

"I'll have you know, I'm a natural blonde!"

"How could I know that? You wouldn't let me turn
the lights on."

That's hilarious. Wyatt's a great guy despite that retort and Phoebe realizes she's way too sensitive about her appearance. Their romance was sweet and the whole story was terrific.
