Beale has written an excellent exegetical book on how John used phrases, words, and the structures of Daniel to portray his own vision and message in the Apocalypse! An indispensable book in the study of both Daniel and Revelation. This is a highly technical book, so will not appeal to all.

It's his dissertation. Somewhat dry reading but a lot of helpful and well-documented information. Will write more when I finish it.
