This is an insightful, fascinating and empowering book about health, healing, love, and faith that has the potential to change forever the way you view your life and your health.
The Casa de Dom Inaçio in Brazil is a center of extraordinary spiritual energy, a place where the same profound force of unconditional love used by countless healing practitioners throughout history brings relief to thousands of people who visit each year. Treatment is free. Nobody is turned away. The results are beyond uncanny.
'a little book about believing' chronicles 12 days in the life of journalist Cash Peters, and several others, as they travel to the Casa and experience the phenomenal abilities of world-renowned faith healer John of God. But does spiritual healing really work? Can the loving power of our connection to the Divine be harnessed to fix the human body and ensure greater longevity? These questions and many more are answered in this unique and gripping book.
With a foreword by Dr. Jeffrey Rediger of Harvard Medical School, and filled with enlightening insights, Cash’s moving story takes us to a place where faith, love, and surrender become powerful tools for healing. In doing so, it plants seeds of renewed hope for those facing serious illness, while inviting the rest of us not to fear our health issues, but to embrace them as significant opportunities for learning and growth.
"Highly thought-provoking and compelling! An extraordinary book with a life-changing message!" - Andreas Moritz, author of Timeless Secrets of Health and Rejuvenation.
"Uplifting. One of the first books I've read from cover to cover in a long time.... A great writer." Alan Cohen, Hay House Radio.
"If the phone rang tomorrow and I got the news we all fear – that a loved one had been diagnosed with cancer – the first thing I would do is get online and order a copy of Cash Peters’ new book. A Little Book About Believing is one of those books that can not only change a life, but might actually save a life…. A balanced, interesting and ultimately life-affirming picture of just how much healing we are capable of experiencing, if we’ll just get out of the way of the Divine Life Force that lives in all of us." D.K. Brainard, Edge Magazine
"This book resonated on many levels...It brought a lot of ideas together which reinforce the power of positive thinking and the importance of detox and a plant-based diet for long-term health and healing." Jennifer Thompson, Healthy Bliss
Apparently, if we can make ourselves ill, then we also can make ourselves well. For some this is true and others not as much, the healing. This book explains the possibilities for why healing happens in certain circumstances and environments, and certain people. It's never really impossible to heal any condition, if you truly believe it's possible. If you believe, you can will yourself well.
This book reminds me of finally understanding that not only are we what we eat, but we certainly are our thoughts. The more positive and naturally aligned one is, the greater chance for healing and healthy living.
Cash Peter's little book begins to confirm what I always suspected about the power of faith and the way out thoughts shape our realities. I was culturally and economically never expected to rise to the level of my career achievements. I just assumed that as I focused on various interests that there would be no real limits just twists and turns in this curious journey called life. To sum up "just NO to NEGATIVITY and do the best you can even if you fail.
This book absolutely confirmed everything that I feel about faith, self healing and belief. Cash has an excellent way of writing that is engaging and intimate. What a wonderful book- what a wonderful reading experience!
This book is thoroughly enjoyable. The author explains his experiences and those of his new friends with humor, wonder, skepticism, and belief. It was a great read and I will be reading it a second time.
Uplifting, inspirational and deeply moving, this is the account of Cash Peters' visit to the Casa De Dom Inacio in Abadiania, Brasil.I found it very thought provoking and it made me question long held beliefs. The Casa is a place where John of God carries out spiritual surgery, sometimes with amazing results, giving renewed hope to many.Having said that, it isn't a religious book, but more about the power of belief. All angles of healing and healthy living are explored, giving us the message that we should never despair, there are always other ways to try. The account of the author's experiences and those of his companions is an entertaining read in itself. At times I was moved to tears by Cash Peters' sincerity and sensitivity, but there is a touch of humour in some of his observations too. I particularly liked the seven pillars of self healing at the end of the book where the author sums up what he has learnt about self healing. I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in the subject of health and healing.
An interesting and inspiring book about healing. Cash Peters travels to Casa de Dom Inacio in Brazil to be a witness to the healing power of John of God. The author explores many questions of a person's relationship to the power of the Devine to be healed. The power of faith, love and surrender are tools of healing. The author provides a positive anchor for individuals to reframe serious health problems into opportunities for learning, greater self awareness and growth.
Upon a dear friend's recommendation, I read Cash Peter's account of visiting the Casa in Brazil and enjoyed his account of his experiences there. If you are interested in spiritual dimensions of healing then you might find this book interesting.
