Sara and Gedeon have decided that the time has come for him to mark her. Fearing that they'll be discovered by her aunt and uncle while Sara is recovering from being marked, they leave New York and head for Gedeon's condo in South Beach where liquor runs freely and girls worship the ground he walks on. But being in Florida brings out side of Gedeon that, until now, she never knew existed. Now Sara must deal with this new found information while she adjusts to the unfamiliar feelings that being marked has awakened in her.

The pace of the story leaves you a little mysterious. I love Sara and Gedeon. I actually enjoy how the story really focuses on Sara being marked yet their is actually an WTH moment in the book. Yes truly WTH but for me I wasn't into all that. I just felt that Sara and Gedeon were two strong characters that something like that could happen.

So overall I thought the book is pretty good, no lack or time for boredom :)

I'll just say that Hellfire is the perfect name for this one, and I don't mean for Gedeon's club, either. It is one erotic read, but then Everly Drummond knows how to do eroticism. When I first started this one, I thought Holy ! I've dipped into the PP pool! What is the PP pool? The paranormal porn pool, of course. Well, it isn't really porn, but it is really graphic. Gedeon is not the typical vampire you've read about before, but he is just as hot and steamy...and all the ladies know it! But, Gedeon is even more loving and romantic with Sara in this book. There are moments in this one that had me on the edge while I waited anxiously to see what happens to Sara and Gedeon...oh, my poor Gedeon! I love his passion for Sara, and Sara's character has grown so much in this book. She's no longer the innocent, weak heroine. She can hold her own with Aishling...until...shocker! What Aishling wants is not Gedeon, but something that took me completely by surprise! I'll give you the heads up that I didn't have...Warning: Menage happening in this one. That is not my normal type of read, but for a short novella, it was well written and the story came together nicely without being rushed.

I previously reviewed the 1st book (see old blog postings) and just wanted to wrap it up with the other two books.

-Quick reads

-Easy to follow

-Great “fill in” reading when you’re trying to decide what to read next

-sexy and hot

-free!! author site

spoilers ALERT below****

Book#2 - Sara gets marked finally and to some extent it’s really not made into a very big deal in the story. I think that author just wanted to get her to the point that she was all sexed up. You’re told that sex as a vampire is more intense and erotic. I told you all in my review of book #1 that there is sex of all kind to interest any kind of erotic reader, but personally I was disappointed that Sara and Gedeon weren’t alone for their first time together with Sara as a vampire. I’m no prude and the threesome wasn’t the problem - just would have enjoyed at least one intimate and private moment before they brought someone else in the picture.

again spoiler ALERT*****

Book#3 - This book felt very domestic compared to the other two. All the books take place in common day - real time, but the author works hard to incorporate vampire myth into the boring reality. I didn’t feel that as much time was taken to put those details in book three until the last chapters. It’s still a great book and rounds off the series well. I did get a little Twilight-ish feel at the end when Sara is pregnant though. I do like them as a couple and I like the idea of a baby in book 4, but it seemed a little predictable and tired.

OK -- I'm still wondering what I'm doing here. Another short for the City of the Damned

In this episode our beautiful sweet young thing Sara has decided that she must be marked by Gedeon the rich & handsome vampire healer. So they head off to Florida for the marking in case her relatives stop by. In addition to the marking Sara decides more changes are in order.

Its like an accident, I can't stop looking.

I loved this. The little trist with Aishling was unexpected and hot as all hell! The marking with Gedeon was perfectly done, the emotion when she finally woke up, gosh! I love the way Everly Drummond writes, it flows and draws you in right from the start. I couldn't stop reading this, I am addicted!

I would have named this book HOTTER THAN HELLFIRE. Sara and Gedeon heat up the sheets and more in this second story from the City of the Damned series. Oh, and don't forget about the banshee Aishling! Ms. Drummond is spot on in giving us a really fantastic and erotic vampire tale.

A good continuation of Marked. Sara and Gedeon prepare for Gedeon to mark Sara. Complications occur. Sara is introduced to more of the vampire world. I'm onto the 3rd part now!

Needs a lot of editing for grammatical, spelling and missing words at times, but I really enjoyed this story line by the author and would recommend this series.

Good read, but I wouldn't call it a book at around 100 pages. But if you buy the 4 pack then it equals a full novel. :)
