Tickles the funny bone! While I was chortling my way through the exceptionally humorous scenes in this fabulous book, I could see in my mind's eye father and son team Sean and Connor Hayden laughing so much they couldn't type - or talk. Their wit sparkles, and made Third Time a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
But there is far more than funny to this book. Indeed, if anything, the tension has been ratcheted up a further notch as the twins are still in thrall to the Professor who wants them to do increasingly outrageous things for him, all the while holding Paige's life in his hands - and thus Dade's loyalties.
Add to the mix Carnival life, automatons, ever-present danger, a daring heist, a new friend and a foiled escape plan and you have the third in a series that fairly brims with high adventure. This series, much like your favourite chocolate bar, is incredibly more-ish and I sincerely hope there is more to come soon!
And a quick mention has to go to the wonderful cover art for these books - really gorgeous.

I'm not even sure where to start. It'd say the third time is the charm, but the first two shorts in this series did not disappoint!
This series is so much fun to read. The Hayden's wit and humor come out in a number of scenes that will leave you chuckling or outright laughing. At the same time you feel for the twins and their situation as the evil professor continues to work them hard making crazy contraptions for his evil schemes. Love the new friend a the end of the story! I can't wait to see what happens next!
Recommended for children and adults :)
