A review for The Romance Reviews.
With intrigue, deception, some humor and a ton of eroticism, BITTEN was an immensely entertaining read!
Lily's life was not going so well. She has a job that she hates, lives in a house that her mother owns and doesn't have a lot of experience in love. Her one bright spot is her online lover, and after bearing it all to her over the net, the two women decide to meet.
Well, let's just say, that meeting was not what Lily expected at all, and Lily is devastated. She's at a club she wouldn't usually go to in an outfit that she wouldn't be caught dead in. But she ends up hooking up with her really hot neighbor Tyra, whom Lily refers to as a blonde goddess. The two hook up, and Lily's life takes on a very interesting twist.
This book was a lot of fun to read. The exploits that Lily got herself into were comical at times and always entertaining. Lily's character had this strange combination of naiveté and bravado that was quite endearing, but it was obvious that she was out of her league with the vixen Tyra. I was invested in Lily despite her foibles, and I was happy that she ended up with her HEA.
This is a f/f read and it was extremely erotic. There was girl love, hetero love, and even quite a bit of self-love. There was also voyeurism, exhibitionism, and bit of ménage thrown in there too. It was all very steamy, and I have to admit quite tantalizing.
Ultimately though, this was a romance, and Lily finds love where she least expects it. It was quite sweet watching that develop and seeing her HEA.
BITTEN is a great story that was both humorous and entertaining, with extremely erotic situations, a sweet romance, all with a paranormal twist. I had a great time reading it, and I really do look forward to reading more of this author's work.

This is one story I didn't enjoy as much from Ms. Shore. I think it was because I was genuinely confused for a bit. This is a vampire story but not. I reminded me a bit of the movie, Lair of the White Worm.
Lily didn't do much for me either. I couldn't relate to her and she's a type of person I don't befriend. I don't like this type of person because they are basically aimless without any purpose. This is anathema to my existence. This is why I didn't enjoy the story as much as other Ms. Shore's stories.
I still rated this a 3 because I enjoyed the f/f sex. The strap-on scene was delicious.

This was a well written f/f love story. I am not into girl on girl, but if I was this story would get my juices flowing in a red hot minute. A very lusty read.

pointless…
All sex, no sizzle. Who was Tyra? Who was Daisy? What was happening to Lily after she was bitten? Nothing in this story made sense and the characters lacked, well character. I wasted a lot of time thinking it would get better-it didn’t. There was no back story or explanation for anything that happened in this book.
